Hey Nancy! You sound like you had a really productive day!! Good for you! I'll bet you feel like you really achieved something!

My day was hectic. Ended up dropping ds at kindergarten, hit the grocery store and mall looking for some little umbrellas (the kind you use on drinks) and some sour apple candy rings. Last year I made cupcakes for preschool, iced them blue and stuck a Teddy Graham in each sour apple candy, so it looked like a life preserver and stuck an umbrella in it.

Couldn't find any of it anywhere. So I came home, baked the cake, speed cooled it, slapped it together, iced it blue, dumped coconut all over to look like waves and stuck green apple flavoured alligators on top!!! Then I delivered the cake to the school, picked up ds and brought him home for a quick lunch and back to the school to operate the ring toss booth for an hour and a half. Hit the grocery store and the bank with kids in tow and came home to water my garden.

Looking forward to a nice relaxing evening. American Idol finale tonight. Really hoping Fantasia wins. Her rendition of "Summertime" sends shivers down my spine! It's like someone plugs her in when she gets on the stage! Truly her calling!

Eating left much to be desired, but I'm okay with it. A cheese/mushroom breakfree omelette for breaky. A small bowl of mac and cheese for lunch. Didn't even taste or sample the cake this morning (hope they don't die of food poisoning!) Had some orange juice at the fair which is something I don't generally drink, but I forgot my water bottle. Dinner will be red snapper (don't know how I'm going to cook it yet. Suggestions?)zucchini, peppers and leftover roast veggies from yesterday. I've got nuts and fruit in the house if I need a snack tonight and I think there may even be a few sugar free fudgsicles in the freezer.

Tomorrow should be a more mellow day. One simple little preschool meeting after dinner. But then again, those are the days when all hell breaks loose. LOL I'd better not jinx myself!

Have a great evening everyone,

Shar

It was 99 here today, so I wound up doing a lot of watering with the hose to keep things from drying out, especially the flowers I just planted yesterday. You're not allowed to water with sprinklers

LOL about the pizza!

That's a tough one about the lawn. We are all fenced where we live, so don't have that problem.

The day started out wonky. I got to the office and found the new girl sitting in the waiting room. All the attorneys had already left for their destinations and "Miss Sunshine" wasn't in yet as she needed to get her "pool picture" done so that she wouldn't have to face a crowd on Saturday so the 2 of us were locked out. I have a set of keys to the office but that doesn't mean I've been carrying them in my purse! Good thing I only live a mile from the office. I got home and had to look through several purses before I came up with the keys. Neither one of us were going to fit through the reception window and there were no small children to be found! I had a major phone altercation with a customer service person over a college loan....talk about an attitude. She not only had an attitude but was just downright rude as well as obnoxious I ended up calling back and speaking to a supervisor about her apparent "problem". Just a lot of Wonky Wierd people out there!

Eating went well today. Scrambled egg and english muffin for breakfast, nuts and raisins for midmorning, Healthy Choice Garden Vegetable soup and 1/2 ww pita with vegetable hummus and some swiss cheese cubes, afternoon snack was pineapple, cantalope and watermelon and dinner was shrimp on the bbq and Spicy Beans and Rice. DS loves his beans and rice and shrimp!

There wasn't a workout but I did take Otto for a pleasant walk and then walked down to the library to return a book and look for some new reading material. Not a very pleasant day weather wise. It's rained on and off and after a weekend of wishing the air conditioners were in it's back to having the windows closed and needing some type of sweatshirt outside.

I'm headed for the couch with DD to watch the finale of American Idol. I'm with you Shar thinking Fantasia should win-but the voting has been real wierd!

Hope you all have a pleasant evening!

Our back yard has privacy fence, but front yards aren't allowed to be fenced.
