Ladies, I need some advise. Mind you this is not for me............honestly but I am sure it's going to apply someday. My mom is here and we are talking about hot flashes. She is 64 and does not take and hormone replacement stuff. I have heard mentioned that some take Soy as a supplement. Does this help? What ideas can you throw our way. Let me know what some of you do.

Thanks,

Deb

You can get Genistein soy capsules, Evening Primrose Oil, Black Cohash, Omega 3's, and other supplement type things. Some companies even make combinations of those ingredients to help fight symptoms. There's also the wild yam cream available at health food stores that you can rub on. I've heard of people being helped with that too.

Exercise!! I am not being funny, but really! Soy is good too, but it should be good quality soy products. Go to a health food store ask for some help on what to use. Sometimes it helps.

I think the exercise is the best way to help the symptoms. Cutting back on caffeine and sugar is a major help. Just like everything else, a good healthy diet of lean protein, fruits, veggies and high fiber whole grains do the trick.

Go to www.power-surge.com

for lots of info. Also that Revival Soy product is excellent.
