Memorial Day Plans???

Since we gracefully got out of driving 14 hours each way to attend my nephew's 8th grade graduation....and do all that driving this weekend, we're free to do whatever we want.

I do want to do a bbq, maybe go on a hike, or finish my planting (30 or so annuals begging to be put in the ground).

What are your weekend plans, or Memorial Day plans in particular?

Alligators in the ocean? Ok now I'm really not going to go surfing this year !!

I have a great denim western skirt and hat...if you were closer you could borrow, also have cowboy boots.

My girlfriends live in the Tampa, St, Pete area. When I lived there many moons ago we were in Sanford, for 2 years and then down to Fort Myers for another 2. I do miss it alot.

My best friend from my teens lives in Plant City near Tampa, and I did some design work at a bank in Largo near Tampa in the 80's. Used to pass through Sanford twice almost every Sat. for over a year on my way to Pilates classes. If you haven't been there in several years, you wouldn't believe how it's booming around there. I have a contractor friend who lived in LaBelle and Ft. Myers. Small world!

"Head for the mountains" - was that Busch beer or Coors? Can't remember. Joining MIL this weekend, and with any luck, the oldest son will be there too. We don't see him as often, lives furthest away and works from project to project, so he lives day to day without many vacations. He's *driving* from Santa Fe in an old blue pickup truck. We hope the truck makes it intact!

MIL's pool is still a bit cloudy, and the heater hasn't been turned on. But the spa is open and ready for bodies. Looking forward to barbecue!
