Good Sunday morning to you all! What is happening at your home today? Deb from LI, I hope your son has a great race today after all of the hectic work done last night!

I'm going to SS today and then to Dillard's. Ooh, I'm off tomorrow!!! I may go out to buy a grill today - I want to bbq some chicken & make ds a steak on it tomorrow. We may go fishing (you're not surprised are you?). May get the ice cream maker out to make some maple banana walnut ice cream, too.

Guess what I bought with my last $40 credit on my Dillard's discount? A breadmachine!!! I made some quick cranberry orange bread last night & can't wait to make a loaf of yeast bread. I'm taking the cranberry bread into Dillard's for people to eat - I don't need to be snacking on it! I've always wanted one of those!

Yesterday, I did manage to get out for a great powerwalk on my fave trail - beautiful trail!

Whatever you do today: enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!

Have a blessed Sunday, all!

P.S. Yesterday, I wore my pedometer on my powerwalk & to Dillard's - I supposedly walked 8 miles & burned over 600 calories (which I probably plopped back on me when I ate some buffalo chicken wings, some Riesling wine, and a slice of that cranberry bread for dinner!) from the time of my walk until 6 p.m. I forget how many steps I took, but it was close to 10,000 maybe. I need to wear that thing all the time to remind me to get out and walk!!! I plan on a walk after work today, too.

I got my pedometer at Target and it is a Sportline brand that calculates steps, miles, calories burned and the time of day. I love it!

Good morning, Kat!What a great way to start my day with a post from you!!!So glad you have a day off tomorrow, enjoy it!I LOVE bread and have thought about a bread machine. The cranberry orange sounds so good.

I'm taking a day off from fitness. Not sure what I will do besides work in CL.Yesterday I had a great walk with my sister and we talked alot about our fitness goals for this summer.Last year the weather was so lousy and I think we all know how well I handle that! This year I'm pumped to make goals and reach them.

Yesterday I went to the grocery store for ONE thing.Ten minutes later I'm running around with 6 things one of which is a Marie Claire magazine. This guy in his 60's I'd say, maybe older, comes up to me and say's "Has Marie Clarie called you?".I say "excuse me", not making the connection to my magazine. Then he says"Have you heard from Marie Clarie?".Then I realize the connection and wonder if anyone else knows there is a crazy man wandering around the store!!Then he says"well, I see you have her book so now maybe you will hear from her!".Weird, huh? Some days it's better to just stay with the chickens.

Hope everyone has a Super Star Sunday(love that!!!!)

I think he might have been putting the moves on you, Patty!!! Some men!!!! Long ago, I strolled into Trader Joe's in Pasadena, CA and the store clerk asked me if I was a model!!! Even at 18, I knew what the guy had in mind! Of course, since I was single then & curious (he was a gorgeous blonde surfer dude, after all), I ended up dating him for awhile. I did have to tell him that his come-on line was lame, though!

You're welcome anytime, Princess! I have plenty left of all three, believe it or not! I only had one serving of each.

I'm thinking bbq chicken, a nice salad, fresh fruit salad and homemade ice cream is what I'm craving for Memorial day. I love potato salad, but I have to be calorie conscious you know & save some for ice cream!!!

Good Morning to All You Super Stars!

It's another beautiful bright blue sky sunny morning! It's still a bit cool and the wind is blowing-but there's no humidity and that sun is shining!

Kat-I love my bread machine! Love the smell! Enjoy it.

Another rough night of sleeping-not sure who was snoring more-DH or Otto! Speaking of Otto, in one of my lack of brain cell moments yesterday, I had come in from fruit and veggie shopping, DH was working in the yard and had the gate wide open and after I dropped off the groceries was going to return to close the gate. But somehow managed not to, let Otto out into the yard and I proceeded to the basement. About 15 minutes later I hear the gate snap shut and I realized I had let him out and had never shut the gate. I'm now panicked that he has run off which he has on occasion. Fortunately he only ran to the neighbors across the street and they brought him home. I was telling my neighbor next door the story and he said that it was strange that Otto didn't run away to his house since Otto just loves him. Then it mentioned that he couldn't figure out where his cat's food had gone-we all looked at Otto-apparently cat food must taste just as good at dog food! That explains why he wasn't looking for dinner last night! Does that mean my dog thinks he's a cat now?

Anyway, no planned workout today. I'm going to spend some time today pulling out weeds, going to the nursery to buy some plants and do some gardening and clean off our disgusing looking patio. My chair has reappeared-still with no urethane on it but it's back and by this afternoon I'm planning on an otiose state and ready for it and a book. I hope I make it there-because I sure didn't yesterday. Planning on some type of bbq for dinner and that's the day.

Hope you all enjoy a Super Star Sunday!

I told DH about it and he said that the guy was coming on to me.And frankly I'd rather think he was crazy!!!What's a man that old doing hitting on a 39 yr old?????

I've seen your pic. The idea of you being a model is not far fetched!!You dated a gorgeous blonde surfer dude??COOL!!!!

He thought he'd get a good looking Princess that day, I guess! Guess he didn't know there was a dh to contend with!

Back then, they didn't have petite models (I don't think!) and I wore only mascara that day!!! My surfer dude must have been lonely then! LOL! He was a nice guy, but couldn't make up his mind if he wanted a steady relationship or not (I never liked dating around), so I dumped him. He tried to weasel back, but by then I had a new boyfriend. Ah, the good ole' days! I don't miss the dating at all!!! I'd just be perfectly happy to strike up a nice, relaxing friendship with a man & just have it progress to love/marriage. Forget that awkward dating stuff!

Good morning everyone! It's a lazy, HOT morning around here. Tim and Rob are still in bed. Stayed up late to watch the funny rerun of Saturday Night Live where Ben Affleck was the host. I think 2 days in a row at the beach kind of tired us out. It was so hot yesterday that the soft, dry sand would scald your feet if you didn't have shoes on. I found 91 sharks' teeth. Tim even found 3 nice ones while he was looking with me.

I SHOULD get out and get those flowers planted today, but the Sunday paper is calling my name. Maybe I will save that to read later when it's hot and go outside before it's so broiling.

Way to go with your walking, Kat, and great for you Patty that you're so motivated. Glad you're enjoying your bread machine, Kat. It would not do at all for me to have one of those around here. I'm already bad enough about stuff. Last night I made a German Chocolate cake. Guess that guy in the store thought he might get really lucky, Patty. LOL!

Have a wonderful Sunday!
