Monday's Mountains!

So what mountain are you going to climb today? What is the one challenge you hope to tackel and overcome? Remember today is only the first and the first means a new start! Just one new start today.........what will it be? Is your mountain a real mountain, a hill or a mole hill? Either one of these should be easy to over come and climb with the power and self esteem this board has!
Now do not laugh too hard, I just realized its not Monday, its Tuesday and I can not delete this message, however I can edit.......change it. So can we make this Terrific Tuesday instead.........sorry guys, the morning tea aint working yet!

Today I have tons of work to do in CL and in the yard.Yesterday I really worked hard in CL and got alot of work done.I also got in good workouts.I haven't run in 4 days though and need to do that today. Also will do my LB workout. My new start for today will be to make sure I get enough water in.The food deal is not going well so maybe it's time to just let it go for awhile and see if it will fall into place as I make other changes.
Have a terrific Tuesday!!!

This is great and I bet you did it on purpose Deb to catch our attention. Those of you who posted here can count it as your "just for today" post too. I see a handful of us are back to WW points. I feel a little healthy competition here...if you can keep to your points, so can I.
And...we ARE doing it...not trying or will...we ARE are the operative words.
Good luck all...especially Patty, Nancy and Deb who posted already. You are sure ready to go!!

I was hoping today was going to be a rootin' tootin' Tuesday, but my personal molehill is going to be staying awake. I'm as sleepy as can be - I went to bed early Monday hoping that I could pop out of bed this morning and try an early workout for a change. No way, no how. When the alarm went off at 4:30, I said to myself are you kidding? I would have had to stretch at least a half-hour to get the kinks and creaks out before starting, cutting too close to shower/breakfast/departure time. So, back to the grind this evening after work.
My nephew's sleepover was a success. No meltdowns, no tantrums, no misbehaving - until he walked back into his house when we brought him home and he took a swing at his sister with his pillow. All she wanted to do was give him a hug. Men! They start early.
Have a great Tuesday!

You will still pull out the day, Donna! Early mornings isn't for everyone especially if you are like me and have to get those joints moving. Just can't work out unless I have that warm shower first to get going.
Exercise is good no matter when you get it in.

Funny you should mention “Mountains”… Weekend holiday in Asheville turned out to be a bust due to heavy fog and very heavy rain. At first thought well, maybe it will clear up so watched The Weather Channel, which showed days of rain and thunderstorms. Then thought well, maybe they are wrong so turned to local station that announced heavy rains during the day followed by evening thunderstorms! Watched nearly everyone at the hotel pack hiking and fishing stuff along with their luggage back into their vehicles. So just laughed and packed-up, too. Chimney Rock isn’t going anywhere so will just pick another time.
Think this month’s goal will center on the word, Wise. Think we’ve all heard phrases like, healthy, wealthy and wise or word-to-the-wise. This month, whenever there is a compromise to my use of time or sensible diet I will ask myself, is that wise?
Today plan to do some stretching and either 30 min on the spin bike or do a little rearranging of furniture and pictures. Tonight attending final neighborhood Block Party meeting and hope we won’t have to use our alternate rain date.
Happy June everyone! Have a great day!

Did a 45 min. powerwalk and also did hiking around lakes yesterday - lots of activity for me & a good thing because I had a piece of bbq chicken, a light hot dog and part of a sausage from the grill! I had to have the whole experience! No dessert except a fresh peach, so I did great with that. My breadmaker made a great loaf of yeast bread, also, but am going to have to give away any more loaves I make! I love bread way too much!
This a.m. I woke up early and did a full body weights workout and abs with Kathy Smith dvd. I also added 50 crunches to her abs routine. If I can just keep up the momentum! Tomorrow, I need to wake up early to go to the fitness club and do an hour of cardio.
DS has baseball camp this week, so my lunch hour is taken up - oh well . . . I'm working tonight at Dillard's, tomorrow night I will go in to Steinmart to learn their system, then work every night afterwards and Sat. at Dillard's. Maybe these early a.m. workouts will give me the energy to get thru this week!
Have a great Tuesday everyone!
Finally...AF arrived yesterday.
Hope you feel better!
Before I got back on the bc pill, every month for 1 week I had horrible carb/sweets cravings & would binge - it was due to the horrible cramps I had. My pain would last a whole week & the pain would be excruciating without the aid of lots of ibuprofen. I still get pain, but nowhere near the pain I experienced without the bc pill. Also, I have noticed no more carb/sweets cravings associated with AF. I literally could not control myself and would eat 2 huge bowls of heavily sugared cereal for dinner to try to feel better. Of course, it backfired as sugar aggravates AF symptoms. I don't know what I'd do without my bc pills, to be honest!
I eat lots of soy in my diet & it may help me with not having any night sweats or hot flashes. I've not had those yet, so maybe the soy is working on that!
With all of the fitness you get in your days, it's no wonder you keep your good shape, though. Way to go on that dancing! That's really neat that your instructor asked you to perform in the half-time!
