I started my day in a different way this morning.Grabbed a cup of tea and instead of having it in front of the tv , I went outside and sat on the porch.Took time to just enjoy nature and reflect on all my blessings.Yesterday I was in a store and heard two women talking. As one was leaving she said to the other "Take care and I hope you are blessed".I was so struck by that.I didn't know what this woman's faith and it didn't matter. I knew just by her words whatever she believed in she felt it strongly.I could also tell from her words and tone that she truly wished good things for someone else. With one phrase she came across as a kind and generous woman. So today , and everyday, when people hear my words or see my actions I hope they see the person I truly want to be.
Are you working out today or it is a rest day? How's food going? Are you finding creative ways to stay motivated? Are you taking some time for yourself? Are you feeling overwhelmed by work, life or anything? If you are I hope you know we're always here to listen and care.
I hope your Thursday is filled with many things to be thankful for.

I have alot of thankfuls going thru my head today.I'm truly thankful for how well DS is doing with school and work.At 19 to have a goal to work towards and something you enjoy and do well is a wonderful thing.Heck, it's a wonderful thing at any age!!!I'm thankful for how well things are going with cleanout.Thankful and appreciative of how hard DH has worked to make it all come together.Thankful these birds are gone and that a better bunch is headed my way.Thankful that I have been so blessed and so lucky to have so many truly wonderful people in my life and that certainly includes this group. And last but not least I'm very thankful that I get today off :) WhooHOO!!!!One of my sisters has the day off also and we are heading out later! Not sure exactly what's in store but if I come across George or a Cabana Boy I'll have another thankful to add to the list!!!!!!Have a great day!!!

I'm trying now to decide if I want to do the Firm UB/LB workout or my Kathy Smith one. That and abs are what I'm doing this a.m. Then I need to shower & get ready for work, pick up ds from his dad & take him to my house. Sometime today, I will go pick up his birthday cake & gift. Have to work at Dillard's and will miss most of his playoff game (if it's not rained out). He may not have baseball camp today because of the rain. We had strong storms again last night, toppling trees & power lines. I was again fortunate not to be without power.
Hope you are alright, Margie. I heard winds wee 70 mph in Dallas area!! Yikes! The winds in Longview were bad enough to move people's cars into other lanes. I was at Steinmart and their electricity went out for the 2nd night in a row. We just closed up 1/2 hr. early.
Ladies, have a day filled with blessings. I like that, Princess!
What a great post to see this morning Patty!

Am I feeling overwhelmed in my life? No, not at all. Most of it feels great, and I'm appreciating that. Am I feeling overwhelmed at work? Sort of. But it's a fact of the job that some periods are going to be like that and others are going to have me playing freecell or solitaire or Jeopardy on line. There's light is at the end of the tunnel, though, and I don't think it's an oncoming train - just 2 more days at this pace and it'll be rest time, and a fairly sane stretch for a little while after. At least I have a job.
Workout tonight? Most definitely. Cardio (30 min) and full-body weight work (however long it takes) that I was supposed to do Wednesday night, but just could not muster the will to do. Have to go easy on shoulder work until the kinks from the death grip on the computer mouse loosen up. Maybe I'll wear my neck collar to sleep for the next few nights to see if that helps. Most times it does. Plus, it's a really sexy look - you should try it!
Have a great day, everyone! Back to the grind....

Last night I made some homemade vegtable soup. Its a free bee on WW and points, so I ate a bowl of it with a quesadilla for dinner. Had some ice cream as a treat and I just hit my 20 points. I am hoping today I can do the same. Probley have some soup for lunch.
Not sure what today is going to bring my way. Its raining here again. Started around 8 last night and its been raining on and off through out the night. I just could not stand to watch this mornings weather so I have no idea what the day will bring. I am supposed to be off but I need to go into the office for about 2 hours, around 11 to 1. My attorney is out of town, so another attorney is covering a closing for him. I just need to make sure all the papers, wire transfers, and checks are in order before I send him over to the closing. This is the attorney who we share office space with and I would love to stay there and work for him with his gals through the summer but he has not offered me anything, and I am not sure if he will. He found out yesterday that I was a Notary, which is a good thing. He has 3 full timers and 1 part timer and none are Notaries.
I decided to let Katie stay home. Right now she is watching TV and she said she will give me a hand cleaning up around here today. I was going to pull her out early anyhow to take her to the doctors this afternoon. I will get my mom to watch her for the 2 hours I need to run into the office. I guess before I start my cleaning I should do some form of movement, so I guess I will do my 2 mile WAP video.
My Thursday Thankfuls........I feel like I repeat myself lately with this. Honestly the way things have been going with my job ending soon, Bill is having a bad couple of weeks at the shop, money trouble, the racing has not been going well....I guess I could go on and on. I will keep it simple and just say I am thankful for my family yet again and always because when all is said and done we are always there for each other.

Happy Birthday to Danny! Hope he has a happy celebration and that his game doesn't get rained out (unless you want it to ;-).
We've been having some storms here too. Across town there were winds over 50 mph and trees were toppled onto power lines. Even though our power went off for about 3 minutes, we didn't have anything like that. I have been smelling something that smells like wet burned wood and am wondering if it's from the brush fires that are burning miles away. The wind has a way of carrying things like that for long distances.
Enjoy your day!
