Good Morning Everyone,

I just finished reading the Thursday updates... Reading Jazzer Debs post about having lunch with a friend and deciding to take the high road with her eating choices I realized today could go either way for me too and I've got the opportunity to make the best choices for me.

Good morning Margie!Hope you enjoy your day off!!

I'm going to take my day and my eating in the right direction.Even with my workouts I'm not seeing the changes in my body I want so I need to focus more on good food choices.

Today they were callin for sunny and 75 but then some lousy front moved in a different direction and now it will be rainy and 68.I think I'll take today to clean out my closet and maybe even get to my kitchen. If weather permits I have a walk planned with my sister during her lunch hour.If it rains we have a backup plan to go eat salads.

I picked up a wading pool yesterday!!!It's so cool! You just set it down and as the water goes in the pool sets itself up.Now all I need to do is get the weather to cooperate!!That and begin the interviews for lifeguards ;)

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday!!!

Nancy, good luck with the new hairdresser.Let us know how it goes. After 20+ years with the same person I'm planning on calling someone new today.Mixture of feelings there.I pulled up the link on the Crazy Horse walk, it looks great.Hope you enjoy it.

Yes, come to my pool!!!There will be Cabana Boys and I'm trying to find those little umbrellas to stick in my water while I'm out there.LOL No one makes a bigger production out of a 2 ft deep pool than me!!!!!!

Hey, early bird! I was awake when you posted, but borderline functional. Better to post when I'm coherent than to let you all see what I'm like that early. That can wait 'til Asheville!

My Friday will be good. It IS Friday, after all. Only one deadline to work on for Monday, and one later in the week that's just going to have to wait until I finish the first one. My eating will be decent - breakfast was scrambled eggs with 1/2 slice of tofu American cheese, 2 slices of Canadian bacon and oj, and a 20-oz decaf on the train. Low-fat yogurt with wheat germ sprinkles for my mid-morning snack. Lunch could be dicey - the noble choice is a salad bar salad from a nearby place, but a group of coworkers (the fun ones) is heading to Chinatown for dim sum and joining them sounds like so much more fun. Nobility vs fun. Such a choice....

For my workout, I'd really love to take a walk with DH tonight, but the weather may conspire against us despite how nice it is outdoors right now. Plus the mold/pollen/dampness in the air is giving him a hard time - wheezing and difficulty breathing, and he's not asthmatic or "allergic" to anything. Maybe it's best that I do my 30 min on the treadmill when I get home and call it my workout.

Have a gorgeous Friday, everyone!

I'm finding it eye-opening to see how many points I really eat when I journal everything :o).

Good Friday morning all! It's a bit overcast here today. We had a good soaking rain yesterday evening, and the grass is still wet. I wanted to mow and all that stuff before it's supposed to rain again today, but don't know if I'll get to. Looks as though we'll have thunderstorms every day the next week, usually in the afternoon. Of course, my relatives are arriving tomorrow night, so you might know we'll have rain. As long as it comes and goes, as it often does in Florida, it should be OK.

For a couple of days I'd been smelling a wet burned wood smell that I'm thinking was from brush fires, but I didn't notice it this morning. I did notice that someone stole the large "W" colored like an American flag off the back of my car. I am really upset about that. It was magnetic and I was concerned it might happen, but hoped it wouldn't. That's pretty low.

Rob wants me to take him and a friend to see the new Harry Potter movie this afternoon. If I do, I won't stay. I saw the first one, but that's all.

I had some vanilla almond Special K for breakfast (My moose kitty almost beat me to it!), so I think I'm off to a good start. We'll see how the day progresses...

Enjoy your Friday. Sorry for making you think so much so early. Maybe that will make the rest of the day seem easier!

Margie, funny you should post that about exercise and body changes.I cleaned out my closet big time earlier.I tried on a dress I bought at least 10 yrs ago and that always was alittle tight. My weight is about the same as it was then but I was not exercising at the time.I was really surprised at how much better the dress fits now.Shows what exercise does do.Also shows not to get too hung up on the number on the scale.Motivates me to work better at the food.

I'm really sorry to hear about the storm damage.I hope it won't take long to get repaired.

I think I know the aroma in the air that you mean - summer camp at dawn. DH and his parents and brothers used to spend a month in a rustic house on Long Pond in Plymouth every summer, and the parents continued to go even after all the boys had grown up and gone their own ways. We went down a couple of times with them, and that aroma of damp earth, wet grass, and shady trees with the pond lapping at the shore brought me right back to camp in Westford, MA!

I read about the damage that storm did to your house. I'm so glad you and Tom are safe and that the damage wasn't worse. Thank goodness for insurance is right. Hope you can get everything repaired quickly - and properly.
