I am not usually the first one to the board so something must be 'amis' everywhere else in the world.

You can always get one of the latest tummy- butt- or hip-flattening undergarment or sports bra and share your experience with it. That's NEVER the same ol' Same Old coming from you!

I'll go ahead and do my check in here - had a Sensational Saturday workout, so it fits. Got my run in, 4.45 miles in about 47 minutes. I started close to 11:30, and it was 76-degrees... by the time I finished it was already up to 82. The threat of rain was nowhere to be found and the sun was beatin' down. I started getting a little tired after mile 3, and I slowed the pace a bit. Starting at the home stretch the last half-mile or so, I could tell my skin was tingling a bit. I thought it was the sun, even though I had sun block on, but as I monitored myself, I realized I wasn't sweating much at all. There was no short cut to home, so I just had to keep on track. When I got home I got a nice long drink from the outdoor faucet and rinsed my face and arms. Went inside and found a bottle of Pedialyte that I'd gotten for my daughter a while back when she was sick... plenty left. I figured if it's good for kids, a grown up should be able to get something out of it - nice grape flavor too, LOL! After a glass and a half of kids' electrolytes while cooling down indoors, my body started sweating again. Obviously I didn't have enough to drink in the hour or so before I went running, usually I do. Very interesting study in physiology. Fortunately no cramping, headaches or anything like that. It also gave me an excuse to make a banana shake for lunch!

Anyway, after cooling off I did about 14 minutes of abs work. Couple that with the warm up before I went running, and I had a good workout. A few notes, I've gotten comfortable running with sunglasses on and carrying my CD player, so today I added a baseball cap just to help with the sun factor. Also, I made it up Big Hill in the first 15 minutes of my run - at a slow run to be sure, but without walking. Probably one of the reasons I felt weary around mile 3 - pretty much the same distance I felt it after conquering the hill on race day.

Teriyaki chicken and veggies tonight with brown rice. Yum!

Tim is doing better, thanks, but he still hasn't had a follow-up visit with the dr. or his last test he was supposed to have.

Since the surf was almost non-existent today, he didn't take his board and looked for sharks' teeth with me. He's getting hooked too. LOL! We found only 52 because the tide was pretty high, but that's still not bad. We had lunch at Panera Bread Co. afterward (I got a salad.), then went to Walmart, the barbershop, and Big Lots to browse. When we got home, I held the big extension ladder

I so agree!! The rare times when I get together with a friend is such a battery recharge for me. Sure wish ALL you guys lived close. It might be dangerous, but it sure would be fun, and I know I'd be in a LOT better shape.

Deb, you sound as though you're going through something similar to what I am, only I've been in that rut for quite a while now. It's so baffling as to why I feel so bad about my shape, yet seem paralyzed about doing anything about it. Just thinking about it makes me tired. I have taken some iron lately to see if that might be part of the problem. I'm not sure what it is, but I do wish it would go away. Hope you're over it soon too.

Hugs,

Rhonda

Hello, all,

It was interesting reading about everyone on this post. I am new here, so here goes!

I had a great Saturday. I started group golf lessons today over at the golf course in town.
