Good morning. Is anyone else as lazy as I am today? Are the rest of you who are having lots of rain sick of it????Supposedly we are going to get glimpses of sunshine this afternoon. And hopefully as the week goes on we will get back to the 80s.Maybe even 92 later in the week.If we hit 90 the Palace Pool will be opening.Who wants to join me?It will be BYOCB(bring your own cabana boy).LOL Would love to se DHs face if this group of women pulled up on the farm accompanied with cabana boys.

So what's up for today with everyone? Are you relaxing or working? Is your day filled with family and friends or is it an "all about me" day which includes quality pampering time.

Hope however you spend your day it's a goo one!

Good Morning,

Yes, I am sick of the rain and it's gloomy and rainy and cool again this morning. Palace Pool time-count me in. I do think all of us accompanied by BYOCB descending upon the palace would be quite an experience for your DH!

Definitely trying to ditch the working thing. It is very difficult to escape the things that I'm supposed to finish up around here but I think I've filled the day with enough pampering items that I may be able to ignore the call! I do have to run to Costco this morning and restock on some things but will be getting home just in time for a manicure and pedicure appointment followed by a cut and color. Last minute thought yesterday about the hair and have decided to go short for the summer. I've had it longer for quite some time now and I'm thinking short, easy care, perfect for the hot summer weather-if it ever arrives! So I'm going to be daring and let her have free rein on the head. If you hear me screaming early afternoon you'll know it didn't quite work out! After that I may make a trip to Trader Joes and there just happens to be a Victoria Secret next door-and I have a coupon! And when I get home, I have a DVD that someone had lent me and I have a stack of magazine and a book that I started and would love to finish this one. I should be looking for any type of workout since I have neglected that aspect of my life this past week. But again I'm a bit stiff from the walking experience yesterday which annoys and frustrates me but I'm going to have to deal with what I'm going to do about this so the workout may go by the wayside for the day.

So that's how I'm hoping the day is going to shape up. Hope yours is a good one!

Good Sunday morning, everyone! So much to remember today -the 60th Anniversary of D-Day and the life, Presidency, and legacy of Ronald Reagan. I have to say that Reagan was my favorite President and I wish I could be in Washington for his funeral. He will go down in history as a hugely popular President and revered by many. I really do believe that historians will judge him to have been a great President who changed the world and brought patriotism and pride back to our country. My thoughts and prayers are with Nancy Reagan and the Reagan family.

I wish I could watch all of the tributes today to D-Day and to President Reagan, but I had told Steinmart I would work today. I am going to have to buy some books on Reagan, though. I love hearing the anecdotes about President Reagan on CNN and Fox this a.m. He had a great sense of humor, which even his detractors enjoyed. I have to admit that I admire Nancy Reagan for her love and devotion to her husband.

Not much going on here except work. Hope you all have a blessed Sunday.

Kat, I totally agree with you about President and Mrs. Reagan. What an outstanding and proud American he was, who made us proud to be Americans again after all the doom and gloom that preceded him. Kind of reminds me of now, and I think there are a number of similarities between Reagan and Bush, even if Bush isn't the "great communicator" that Reagan was. I would like to be able to pay my respects too.

You'll never guess what we did last night... I was taking a bath when I had this brilliant idea to do something spontaneous and asked Tim if he'd like to surprise Cheryl, Lauren, Andie, and Claudea at the airport!! He said that would be fine, so I quickly dried my hair and threw on some clothes, no makeup, and we took off. We got to the airport at 9:30. Found out their flight was delayed until 10:40, so we sat and people watched while we chatted and waited.

At long last their flight arrived, and I could see Lauren pushing the double stroller. I was hiding behind Tim, and he was looking the other way so they wouldn't recognize us, but Lauren did. I

Well would you believe we have sun shine and its almost 80 degrees here in New York? NOT! I got up at 4:30 this morning, took my shower, dryed my hair, got dressed and then woke the rest of the family up. I packed the coolers and all the other stuff while the rest of them got up, dressed and ready to hit the road. We left here around 6:30 and we pulled into English Town, NJ around 8:30. We saw a horrible accident on the opposite side of Route 9, which I called into the police. Big step van missed the turn and hit a pole, sending it ontop of the van, sparks flying, green stuff pouring out of the transmiter uptop. Big mess, we could not stop because we were traveling in the opposite direction and there is a cement median dividing the lanes. We hit tons of rain, nasty weather only to find out that at 8 they decided to cancel the points race. So we filled our mugs with fresh coffee and tea and turned around. We hit tons more rain, and saw another accident on the Long Island Expressay over by the Cross Island Parkway. Over turned BMW and several other cars, the fire truck came flying up our right side and cut in front of us, he blocked the cars in the middle and left lanes. We were able to go around just in a nick of time. We got home her about 15 minutes ago. What a morning. Now I get to unpack the coolers. I think a fresh cup of tea for me and when Bill and Rob get back in from parking the truck and trailer I might make some scrambled eggs, to go with the fresh rolls we bought at 6:15.......lol.

This weather is so depressing, it is not funny. We are all so sick of it. I think we are going to run to the video store and rent the movie Mircle and build a fire in our fire place. Might be a cuddle and relax day around here, which sounds pretty nice. I did Katie's room yesterday, which was a big project. Moved furniture, and cleaned. That alone was a workout. Moving beds and dressers is not easy.......right?

Well I think that will do me for today, other then a nap. Hope the weather cooperates where ever you are.

Mixed emotions on Reagan's death..cried like I had lost someone close to me--I thought he was one of the best presidents we have ever had.

Short hair sounds great for summer--you're so lucky to have a Costco and Trader Joe's close by..for us it's a long trek!

Good afternoon, Patty...very lazy day for me today. I didn't even get out of bed until 10:30, watched a lot of morning news, especially about Ronald Reagan. My body had enough partying from yesterday. I sampled just about everything at the shower and wedding including desserts, but I did stay away from alcohol. I only drank water at both events. I am usually the designated driver since I don't drink. Body is feeling it today and today is panning out to be a lot better. I can't believe the rest of the month is full of things we have to attend.

Some of you mentioned that you would like to go to DC Ronald Reagan laying in state. SinL is going...RR was his hero. Seems strange to hear of such a young person being so interested in his life. What a great sense of humor RR had. Glad they are showing a lot of it today on TV.

Going to view videos later of Pilates with the ring. I have to get some more exercises down since I have to teach a 1 1/4 hour class from now on Mondays. I am glad it is longer because I can get more stretching in the class.

Have to go and put on some more clothes. It is just too cold and damp here today. The plants must be loving all this rain even if we humans don't.

Have a good one all and see you tomorrow.

Oh, I so hope your day goes how you planned it Susan. A day for you with a new look thrown in. You have to tell us how the new hairstyle is when you get back and what you bought at VS.

Enough of this damp chilly weather!!
