I put the welcome sign up to ask how many of you ladies need and have to have that cup of caffine first thing in the morning? What happens when you stay at a hotel? Do you get up and head down to that lobby before you hit the showers? Do you send one of your kids or hubby? LOL, just curious.

So is that caffine an electric start to your motor or do you still have the old fashion pull start that takes a few minutes? What is on you schedual for this upcoming week? Any new or different challenge you would like to add? How is your weather? Did spring stop at your neck of the woods? Are your windows open, and are the birds singing? Have yourself a great day, and maybe it will be a great start for a great week of health, fitness, eating, and life!

I do not drink coffee but I do drink tea. Regular Lipton tea with milk and equal. One cup is all it takes and then I seem to function better. I was thinking about the coffee in the morning and staying at hotels because next month we will be on vacation. I am the get up first in the hotel, shower and then head down to the lobby. While the rest of my family starts to wake and shower. Usually the kids are not far behind for the continental breakfast. We try to stay in hotels that offer that, especially with the kids. We do not like the coffee that the most hotels leave in the rooms because Bill like milk, not that creamora stuff. And I only drink tea. But I am the fetcher, either way!

I am the slower pull start in the morning but once I get moving.... I have so much I need and want to do before I head out that door for work. My week will be busy. Especially with school coming to a close. I have work 3 days, Katie has riding 2 nights this week, she also has field day on Wednesday, which I want to try and go to. Bill's schedual does not look too bad, and the trailer and race cars are tucked away behing the shop all ready to go for next week. So I am hoping it shapes into a calm week.

I was going to try and walk for 15 minutes but I used that time to post. I need to head upstairs, wake Katie, make my bed and get ready for my turn in the shower. Robbie is gone, I made his breakfast and lunch and Bill is in the shower after I made him some coffee.......to jump start his motor, lol. Clothes are in the washer and dryer, and 2 beds are made. So far the morning is going smoothly. Work will be busy since my boss is just returning from his Virginia trip. He has alot of ends to tie up and July will be here before he knows it.

Our weather here looks very dreary, yet again. I wish it would stop and dry up. We need to get some healthy spring weather around here. If the weather clears, maybe I can get Katie to take a walk outside with me. Not fast paceed for her legs are shorter but at least we will be moving around. Hope the weather cooperates around your neck of the woods, you eat healthy, you get your dose of daily fitness in and you have a great day either at home or at work!

Oh yeah, need the coffee. We usually make a 1/2-caf, 1/2-decaf mix at home, which is where I'm more likely to have 2 cups. It doesn't kick start me immediately, but after a while it gets me going in 3rd gear, maybe 4th (I'm in first or second gear as I'm making it, depending on my night). I think it's more a comfort thing, though I'll feel the lack of caffeine if I skip it. The hotels we stay at usually have an in-room coffee maker, and we make use of that! If we don't have an in-room, then one of us heads to the eating area to get coffee while the other one is in the shower.

Actually a slow week coming up, and I'm welcoming it. Hair cut appt on Wednesday, and I'm contemplating a day-trip to the beach for us on Saturday. Yesterday I got our ancient bicycles cleaned up, Cus filled the tires, and all 3 of us rode around the block. Maybe Allison and I will go bike riding today. No new challenge, just get my butt in gear - I didn't exercise yesterday, so today will be Body Sculpt (UB/LB with weights) and abs. I gotta knock off the sweets.

Spring moved out several weeks ago to make way for summer here. Open windows would mean 95-sweltering-degrees in the house! We enjoyed the 5 days of spring we had in April, though ;^). As for the birds, whenever we run our sprinklers, we see birds standing in the water's path - even they think it's too hot and dry too soon.

Good morning , Deb and everyone else!Just a cup of decaf tea for me.Sometimes I get wild and have decaf coffee :)Gosh, it's been a while since I've stayed at a hotel but I NEVER wander down to the lobby before hitting the shower.DS and DH usually get ready before me and go down.

I've already been out for a run this morning. It was so foggy out.Hopefully some sunshine and warmth are heading our way this week.I hope so. I want it to be hot and to listen to other people whine about the weather for a change.Going to get some weights in and then head to work.Have a meet and greet with 2 houses of birds today and tomorrow 2 more. Can't believe it's time to get out there and do it all over again already.

Remember the other day I cleaned out my room. Now I can't find my running shorts!BU**ER!Hmm, wondering if DH was behind this.On a happier note my neice cleaned out her room and sent me a bag of clothes, makeup and even a SAK handbag.

Ok, I'm off to do weights, work in CL and possibly even clean some bathrooms.Maybe George will call and put some umph in my day......

Good Morning,

Get out the sunglasses I do believe I see an appearance by the sun! Just in time to go back to work!

Definitely a coffee drinker. I need that one in the morning although if I stick to my game plan and do a workout first thing in the AM I don't need it quite as desperately. You don't even want to know how long it's been since I've been in a hotel! Ashville should be interesting-you ladies may have to give me an instruction booklet! But on the rare occasions when we've gone somewhere it's usually been some type of motel where we would be required to all be relatively cleaned up to be seen in public!

I'm very happy to say that I had my alarm set for full blast and got my butt in gear and headed for the basement this morning. I did a WATP video and felt good to get myself going again. Dog walking will be on the agenda for after dinner. I have numerous things to get done today including the pile of laundry I left all alone in a laundry basket yesterday and bills to be paid. So that will be my 15 minute projects that will probably take more than 15 minutes. I also purchased fruit yesterday that needs to be cut up.

I'm trying some cajun seasoned turkey cutlets on the bbq along with some vegetables on the grill. Hoping for a good week with better water intake, at least 30 minutes of exercise each day and a curb to the sweet tooth-maybe with Flo's unexpected arrival this AM that will actually happen. Hoping for a "quiet" day at work too! Lots of expectations from me for the day ahead!

Hope your Monday Madness doesn't drive you mad and that you all enjoy a great day!

I don't drink coffee, so if I have any caffeine it's in the form of tea -- hot or iced. It's sunny here, and I will be taking Rob and 2 friends to the beach this morning. I got the old, "It's the last day of swell for the next 3 weeks!!" routine late last night, so out of sympathy ;-) I'm taking them.

I wound up spending the whole day until almost 11 last night at either Mom and Dad's or my sister, Lisa's, house. Dad was not doing well at all, and I'm afraid he's losing his will to fight. He's in pain all the time and has trouble standing for very long, and it's causing him to be depressed. He did perk up after a while after we were all there, so that was good, but I'm concerned about after the rest of the family goes home in a couple of weeks.

I got to play and visit with "the girls" -- Andie and Claudea. All I can say is no wonder Lauren is tired. Andie goes more than any child I've ever seen. If she's awake, she is on the move nonstop. On the way to Lisa's, the girls fell asleep, so rather than wake them taking them inside, I offered to drive them around a while so Lauren could unpack or maybe get a little nap herself. I drove around my sister's huge development over and over at 15 - 25 miles an hr. for an hour and 15 minutes until they woke up. It gave Lauren a chance to get unpacked and their beds set up. Then, I watched them while she went to the grocery store.

Last night, we all met at Mom and Dad's for dinner. Tim and Rob went home about 8-something, but I stayed behind to run Cheryl up to the store and to visit more.

Today is Mom's birthday, so we are going to have dinner brought in and bring a cake tonight to celebrate. It's too hard to try to go out at this point. Cheryl and Lisa are leaving this evening for St. Petersburg to go plead Dad's case with the VA to get his disability pension reinstated. Cheryl has worked so hard on it for a couple of years through all the channels and doing all the research. Any time you deal with the govt. it is SO frustrating.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning!

Wow, Deb, you sure sound chipper this morning! Let's see. I need the "taste" of coffee to get me going rather than the caffeine; it just takes me a little longer and that's how it is. It's murky and humid outside - the sun is trying to break through and probably will. We had spring - for about 2 days; it's supposed to reach the 90s with all the humidity that usually attends that temperature later in the week. Not looking forward to that part. Are my windows open? Some are, about 2 inches, to allow some fresh air into the house; the window guards are on, also.

New challenges? Easy one to identify - not to dive headlong into the bag of Tostitos DH felt the urge to buy Saturday. Hard one to avoid, though, and I can see into all the usual hiding places for such things.

Back to a good workout week. Weekend was kind of tough - migraine late Saturday and well into Sunday that left me feeling like I had a hangover without the preceding pleasant buzz. Don't know what triggered it. Anyway, it's gone - thank you, Advil liqui-gel caps. And the Advil also finished off the ache in my shoulder. So I should be able to get back to freeweight work soon, too.

Need to do some catch-up reading of posts. Also need to do some paying work. Hmmph. What to do, what to do?.....think I'll read the posts first - I already pushed a project out the door this morning, in spite of a lengthy emergency drill in the building.

Have a great day, everyone!

I'm a *two cup of coffee in the morning* person. If it's a lazy morning I may even have 3. When we stay in a hotel we use the in room coffee maker if they have one, dh has one cup, I usually have two and then we go for breakfast and I have one more. But that's it for me. I rarely drink coffee through the day. Usually water and then a cup of tea or two in the evening after dinner.

I need to get back on track this week. Dh's cousin from NYork was here for the weekend and she decided it was time for me to learn to make some authentic chinese food, so I was either cooking or eating all weekend. No fitness here.

Friday night Max and I came down with a wicked cough/cold bug and now Adam has it too! Hope it doesn't stay around too long. It's one that has that irritating tickle in the throat that just keeps you coughing and coughing!

Weather should be improving around here this week. We had a great day at the beach on Thursday afternoon, but the weather turned poopy over the weekend just in time for the carnival. So, with everyone sick we didn't bother going this year. The boy were a bit disappointed, but they'll survive. We went from mid 80's Thursday down to a high of 50ish on Saturday!

Should be a relatively calm week here. I have a meeting tomorrow night, but apart from that, not much else on my plate.

Have a great week everyone!
