Monday Madness Check In!

So, how did everyone do today? I didn't do as good on the eating as I should've - I just really seem to be hungry. Leftover spaghetti for lunch (pasta & sauce, didn't feel like a "pasta-plegic" afterwards!), ham-rice-spinach bake with peas for dinner, scoop of ice cream. I just find myself rustling around the fridge mid-day looking for who knows what. Like something heavenly is going to materialize in there! What I really want is M&Ms to get over this choco-craving I've had for about 2 weeks - stuffing both cheeks full like a squirrel, whether it takes a single serving bag, a king-sized single serving, or a half-pounder, LOL! (That should answer your question Grace - more than the eating needs to be fine tuned, it needs to be reigned in!)

Having said that, though, I got in a GREAT workout this PM. Did the full Body Sculpt *with* my new 10# weights as the "heavies". Whewzers! The LB part (about 20-23 minutes) had me sweating and my heart rate up. About 42 minutes total there, then did 14 minutes on the abs.

The Cus and I were cracking jokes tonight over something and the Pillsbury Dough Boy came up. I poked my stomach out in imitation. Cus said that was no Pillsbury Dough Boy stomach, said my abs looked firm, and upon feeling the muscles confirmed it. Strange, with all the eating I've done, when I look at my stomach I see just the same ol' paunch that I've had for years, though with an underlying layer of muscle these days. I guess it's in the eye of the beholder. Goes without saying that the Man made me feel good :^). I'll keep him for a few more years!

Other thing I've done today is research my local and state candidates. Primaries are tomorrow.

It's been a good day. I can't compare my workouts with any of you other guys but did get my butt in gear as to the best of my ability these days and that's the important thing is to keep moving. Eating has been good. I'm glad the refrigerator at work has nothing in it but other people's stuff, the cookie tin was empty and there were no munchies. My only temptation was when I came in from work and of course it's time to prepare dinner, the tummy is rumbling and there's a tray full of cookies and an Entemann's coffee cake staring me in the face-but took both and stuffed them in the microwave so I wouldn't be tempted. My turkey cutlets had to be replaced with tacos as the cutlets were supposed to be marinated but the tacos were equally as good! And the only dessert was nibbling on the fresh fruit that I was cutting up-so I was a very good girl today. I also completed my goal for the day of drinking my AM and PM workday bottles of water! Otto and I had a delightful post dinner walk especially since the day turned out really nice. I completed my 15 minute projects and now I think my day is truly complete with my final visit here for the day. I will attempt to read for a few minutes but feeling sleepy so I'll probably be asleep before I get too far.

Hope you've all had a good day!

Got in a decent workout Monday evening - 40 min cardio, 20 min all-over weights using the machine. Skipped the freeweights, though; saving them for tonight, for more lb and ub work, and weighted crunches for abs. Got the 8- and 10-lb dumbbells at hand, and the 2.5-lb ankle weights dusted off and ready for leg lifts.

The dehumidifier in the basement is drained and crankin', the pedestal fans are in place, and my water bottles are in the fridge, so I shouldn't be too uncomfortable as the humidity in MA starts to rise today....UGH!
