Good morning to a very special group of ladies!Know what the great thing about each new day is?Each day has the potential to be different and unique. Each day offers the chance to do more than we thought was possible. Each day can remind us that the smallest gesture can change things. A positive thought can change what could be a struggle.A smile can mean the world to someone.Saying the right thing or not saying anything at all can completely change a situation. So many ways to make today different from yesterday.

One thing I love about this group is that each person is unique and brings their own something special to the board. Each person brings different ideas, different perspectives and something special that is unique to only them.So get rid of any thoughts that you don't add enough to the board, you don't work out enough, you don't eat well enough.

So what are you going to do to make today unique? Will you change your workout or change a food pattern? Will you make time for something you usually don't?Whatever you do, make today special. And remember that YOU are special too.No one can offer today what YOU can, make it count.

Rhonda, keeping your Dad in my thoughts.Susan, how are you feeling today.Keeping Joseph in my thoughts also. Booty, so nice to have you back on board.Shar, hope everyone is feeling better at your house.Nancy, loved reading about your weekend. Your post inspired me to do bettter with my workout.

Have a special one of a kind day!!!!

Good Morning,

Thanks Patty for that post this morning and Nancy for your very positive attitude this moring! Thanks for asking Patty, yes I'm feeling OK. Flo is ever present-really hoping she was just going to be a drive by but it looks like she setting up shop for awhile and I certainly haven't missed her and will be glad to see her go and hopes she takes the extra baggage around my midsection with her!

Well it is a one of a kind Tuesday just cause there will never be a 6/8/04 again! And lately it's never seems to be a boring day at work, certainly not because of the work but it's sort of like watching a boxing match between new girl and Sunshine. There's a bit of sparring going on and then every once in a while a jab gets thrown in, just waiting for the upper cuts and see who get the TKO! I'm definitely not in the ring on this one!

It's a sunny day here and the three HHH's are supposed to be with us at least the next 2 days. Don't mind the warmth-the humidity is another thing! But no rain!

Anyway, got up and got out my Lift Weights to Lose Weight 2 tape. I haven't figured out why I purchased 2 instead of the 1st one. I haven't done this tape in a very long time and was something different to do this morning. I'm not sure how the joints will respond, but I have to keep experimenting finding things that don't have me in agony for 2 days afterwards.

Well, really need to get a move on so I can clean up the kitchen before heading off to work. I do hope this is a one of a kind Tuesay with lots of good things for you!

Lori, you ate what kind of sandwich last night? That sounds like something my kids would eat................was it good? I guess if you make it on lite bread and use the low fat peanut butter it could be considered good for you?

Thanks for the cheerful, uplifting message, Patty! Between you and the chatty conductor on the train trying out his stand-up routine this morning (he was good!), good cheer abounds. Every day is a do-over - or in our case, an opportunity to do-better. When we start climbing all over ourselves for slacking off our activity or eating goals, we have to remember that.

I'm dreading the coming sogginess - no rain, just abominable humidity. I hate dressing for work in this weather.

I started my day with an egg-and-tofu-American-cheese omelet with Canadian bacon, 4 oz oj, and 20-oz cup 'o decaf. Lunch is whatever happens (I've got eggplant parm on the brain), dinner is boneless breast of chicken marinated in whatever I come across at home and grilled on the Foreman (which I think I need to replace because everything I cook is starting to stick to it), with mixed green-sugar snap-tomato-almond salad with olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing, and I'll add chicken-flavor Carolina rice for DH; maybe I'll snitch a little bit. I posted my workout for this evening as part of Monday check-in thread.

No great innovations to offer here - just a do-better day. Have a great one!

Patty, thanks for that uplifting post this morning! Hey, when George calls, you've gotta' answer... ;-) Thanks for asking about Dad. He seemed in much better spirits yesterday despite his pain.

Rob and I went in to Mom and Dad's yesterday evening for Mom's birthday dinner. We brought in Chinese food that she likes, and I was in charge of bringing the cake, which was carrot!! Yes, I ate a piece and enjoyed it very much. It wasn't as good as my homemade one, but it sure was a lot less work.

After visiting there, Rob and I followed Lauren and girls to Target to pick up some things, then to Lisa's house where Rob put together a portable swing for Claudea. I got to hold her a lot yesterday and give her several bottles. Since her reflux and other GI problems are doing better, her appetite is sure picking up. She gained over a lb. last week (taking after her great aunt!!). We are really happy to see that. It was about 11:30 by the time we got home, and even though I'd been tired, suddenly I couldn't go to sleep. I wound up staying on the computer, watching Fox News, and reading a magazine until 2:30 this morning.

Cheryl and Lisa didn't get away for St. Petersburg until about 9 last night.
