Good morning to a very special group of ladies!Know what the great thing about each new day is?Each day has the potential to be different and unique. Each day offers the chance to do more than we thought was possible. Each day can remind us that the smallest gesture can change things. A positive thought can change what could be a struggle.A smile can mean the world to someone.Saying the right thing or not saying anything at all can completely change a situation. So many ways to make today different from yesterday.

One thing I love about this group is that each person is unique and brings their own something special to the board. Each person brings different ideas, different perspectives and something special that is unique to only them.So get rid of any thoughts that you don't add enough to the board, you don't work out enough, you don't eat well enough.

So what are you going to do to make today unique? Will you change your workout or change a food pattern? Will you make time for something you usually don't?Whatever you do, make today special. And remember that YOU are special too.No one can offer today what YOU can, make it count.

Rhonda, keeping your Dad in my thoughts.Susan, how are you feeling today.Keeping Joseph in my thoughts also. Booty, so nice to have you back on board.Shar, hope everyone is feeling better at your house.Nancy, loved reading about your weekend. Your post inspired me to do bettter with my workout.

Have a special one of a kind day!!!!

I'm nominating you for Head Cheerleader for our group! There's something about coming here in the AM and reading your words that make me glad I'm here and participating.

I did a 3.6 mile run today at about a 10-minute mile pace (35-37 minutes, didn't have a watch with a second hand or digital readout). Between last night's body sculpt with 10# weights and this morning's run, my glutes are feeling it!

I'm going to make my vote count today in the Primaries, either right before or right after Al's swim lesson. I need to pick up a few things at the grocery store, and it *will* include fruit - peaches, strawbs, grapefruit, bananas. So that's my change today, which also goes towards my June goals, eating more fruit now that the season is here.

By the way, who forwarded AF to me? 'Fess up! My cycle has been off ever since I skipped a week of the pill (because I ran out) right before my GYN appointment at the end of April. She shouldn't be here for another 5 days.

Well Patti time for my same old, same old post......lol. But you are right I do need to make today count, for it is today! I was supposed to be off but boss man asked if I would come in for a few hours. Giving up my nails for a walk in a few minutes. I have already made my beds, switched some laundry and washed the kitchen floor. Today is supposed to be hot and hazy and humid. So I am glad the heavey house work is done. Only working until 3 and then tonight it is off to riding for Katie. Well let me get about 30 minutes of walking in before it gets too late. Need to be at work around 11.

My favorite version is peanut butter, peach butter (or jam in a pinch), and bananas on toasted Eggo waffles -- low cal/low carb, of course. ;-)

PS -- The lost dog I found yesterday was claimed by his owner!! I was so relieved. Can't remember if I told you but I found a dog I thought was a little white poodle in front of my house, all hot and agitated. I walked around several streets trying to see if anyone recognized it, but with no luck. I made a sign I put out front. Last night while I was at Mom and Dad's, Tim called and said the owners came by and got "Feather." Turns out it was a Maltese that had just been clipped recently, so the collar was off. Somehow their garage door got left open. Their larger poodle was still in the garage waiting, but little Feather had taken off. They live probably over 1/2 a mile away, so I'm glad I took him in before he got hit by a car or totally dehydrated. Nice to have a

Patty, you are truly a gem!

We are on the mend at our house. The head cold part is on the way south and everyone is wandering around hacking! But, at least it's possible to function.

It was overcast and cool yesterday, so I put it to good use and scrubbed my house after all the company on the weekend. Got a lot accomplished. Then, we sat and watched the Stanley cup game last night and the finale of Six Feet Under. Love that show.

Today, I've got errands to run this morning and I'm hoping to get home in time to walk over and get Adam from kindergarten. It's been awhile since I've gotten out for a walk, since last week was so yucky. Weather for the rest of the week should be in the high 70's to low 80's. Perfect for the beach and I'll get to wear my new red and white tankini (Hawaiian print).

Okay, it's not my desired way to lose weight, but this bug seems to have the scale moving down again, even *with* all of the food I consumed over the weekend. I'm hoping if I pick up the pace with exercise it may just keep moving!

Have a great day ladies.

What a great post (again) Patty. You are one inspiring woman and it hit home for me. Only I can make the days special for me and I deserve it! Hey, what ever you do for YOU is special so doing the same workout it ok. You are still going to change up the weights and that counts.

Funny how the days melt in to one another...I thought I posted this am, and I don't remember reading Patty's welcome post.
