How does that saying go, varity is the spice of life? Maybe, anyhow I think part of my problem other then time and exhustion is varity. I read on a daily basis how some of you do different things like the UB and LB work outs. (Mind you it only took me several weeks to figure out what UB and LB ment)How do you do this? What I mean to ask is do you follow a guide, a video, a routine? How did you discover this and how often do you do these things. I have the 2.5 pound weights, baby dumb bells. They sit on the floor of the den the most movement they see is when I vacume and move them from one spot to another. Go ahead and laugh but I am dead serious. I only got a 20 minutes, medium paced walk in, but while walking I was thinking of these things. Now I am eating some cottage cheese with some fresh sliced strawberries (thanks Cusstte, that was your suggestion to someone else this morning). I need to get into the shower in a few minutes and head to the office.

Would any of you mind posting what a regular daily routine would be for you. I do not mean just UB and 45 minute jog. I mean what do you do for your UB workout and how. If its to much to post then you can email me the info. I am just thinking maybe time to try something besides a walk. Thanks for your imput ladies!

Hi Deb..I don't do a UB workout unless you count lifting children up and down all day and I really don't think that counts a whole lot.I am goingto be watching to see what others do also!

Deb,

I like to do different things if only for the fact that I get bored doing the same thing. Although I don't always use videos for weights I do like to use them because they keep me on track as far as reps and what I'm doing. I tend to still be a little bleary eyed at 5:45 AM. Collage Video has a great selection of videos if you like to go that way. They will show you different types of videos for specifically what you're trying to do. I try to mix up cardio with different things and try to do weights at least 2x a week although I've been a bit deficient in that area. I started off doing weights with the Tamilee Webb video I Want Those Arms. It's broken down into 2 15 minute parts so you can do one or the other or both segments. Always start off with lighter weights and when you feel that it's becoming too easy increase the weights. Strength training is very important to keep those bones healthy! Collage Video will also show you clips of the videos to give you and idea of what's on them and also give customer reviews which I find very helpful. Variety is the spice of life-so dust off those weights and pick them up! I actually do enjoy the weight work! Not sure this helped or answered your question!

Thanks so much, this is exactly what I wanted to know. I am making a copy of this now. So you highly recomend the Firm tapes. I have seen the commercials and have thought about purchasing them. Going to give this some more thought.

Deb for UB I usually do ;Over head press, upright row,Single arm overhead, kick backs, single arm row, bicep curl and concentration curl. This is a program Phyllis sent me.It's easy , doable and works.I do about 12 reps and 1-3 sets. For LB I do lunges, squat , deadlifts and plies.I sometimes use my total gym for UB for a change or I do a Kathy Smith upper or lower body tape.I also have some books I refer back to if I am uncertain of how to do an exercise.Kathy Smith has one that is good.Tapes are a great way to start.I use 5,8 and 10pound weights.I would really encourage you to add weights to your workout.I'm bad about not doing them as often as I should but think they make such a difference. It really doesn't have to be a complicated or time consuming thing.Hope this helps.
