Good morning gang. How are you all today? Is anyone else amazed that it's already Thursday?

What are you thankful for today?Does something come to mind easily or is it a struggle to come up with something? You know sometimes in spite of all the blessings we have in life one thing can overwhelm us and make it hard to see the thankfuls. And that's ok because we really are only human.

Are you working out today?Trying something new?How is work going this week?Anyone have a healthy recipe to share.Anyone have a decadent recipe they want to fix and send straight to me???

Take care and have a wonderful day!

I was trying to post and lost power. So my thankful is happy to have power back on.Also thankful for my family. And darn thankful that hair can grow and thighs can shrink!!!!!

Planning on getting a run in today and weights.Didn't run yesterday and missed it. I feel an exercise slump trying to hit.I also feel a dive into food, really good stuf, heading my way.I need to head it off.....I think.....

Good morning, what happened with the hair Patti? Does not sound like you are happy with it. I have off from my job but I have so much house work it is not funny. I do have a hair cut appointment at 9 and she is going to color my hair too. From there I think I will head over to the nail place and get my nails done. I need some ME time. Then back home to work around the house. They are talking thunderstorms today, which is depressing. Its very humid and still very warm. I am not complaining but many are......picky people!

My thankfuls are not coming easy other then the obvious ones........family. I am truly thankful for all of them. Despite the fact they drive me crazy sometimes.

I guess another would be my job, short lived as it is. It has given me 4 months of work experience and I am sure an nice letter of recomendation for the next one I land.

Good Morning,

Well Patty, if you're thankful hair can grow back that can only mean that the haircut didn't go well-really hate that!

Thankful this morning for my outside chair, Ralph's Ices and a good book. Followed Dr's orders to a tee last night which included keeping my feet up!

Thankful that even though DH didn't come home early from his cousin as he said he would (I knew Mr.Gabby wouldn't be able to do that) he did follow through this morning and cleaned up the dirty dishes.

Thankful that older DD is going back to therapy for her anxiety issues. She has made so much progress but stopped going when her beloved therapist retired. It's taken her a long time to reach out and find someone new but she's finally going to give it a shot.

I'm really dragging this morning. Pre Flo I was sleeping like a rock and now that she has set up camp I'm back to waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep. Maybe it's the weather, I dunno, it was 2 Advil before bed again last night as my headache was back. Our ac is the only one not in the window and even though I don't really like the ac I really would have liked it last night if for no other reason than to flush out the warm humid air. Otto seems to be really bothered too. He was up several times during the night to be let out and then of course I'm laying awake waiting for him to sratch at the door to be let back in. He's been wandering around all morning and didn't eat this morning so we'll need to keep an eye on him. Add to the fact that after I woke up I realized DS wasn't home and until I heard the key in the lock in the very early AM hours I couldn't sleep. Needless to say I see a long day at work stretching before me! Miss Sunshine will be back today but she'll be leaving for a 1/2 day today. For a parttime worker she certainly gets a lot of time off! I've scheduled both my tests for Tuesday. Fortunately they were able to schedule both on the same day. I don't really think they're going to find what they're sending me for-but as with every other test that I've been sent for this year I live with the thought of what else could pop up. I'm getting used to well the results were normal but..... Warm sticky weather on our map for the day with Tstorms predicted for later on so that at least the humidity levels will drop.

Hope that everyone's day goes well!

Thankful that four (besides me) are now doing Weight Watchers.

My friends are doing a potluck soon--I'll look forward to seeing the sharing of healthy recipes for ideas.

G'day, mates!

Susan - Like everyone else, I hope this round of tests either turns up totally negative or uncovers something that is treatable and not serious. Maybe the swollen ankle is nothing more than a joint gift from AF and the humidity and not related at all to your BP?

Patty - Might you be a tad unhappy with the haircut? I'm sorry it's not the magical transformation you hoped it would be. It's reversible - all it takes is time and no extra effort on your part.

So thighs can shrink, huh? Unlike hair growing back, shrinking them requires a lot of effort. If they could shrink while we were sitting in a lounge chair sipping a pina colada and reading a beach book, that would perfect. Is there such a place where that can happen? How come I don't have a map?

Thankfuls. For all those second chances. And for the chocolate that gives me ample opportunity to take those second chances. For ceiling fans and the cool dark of nighttime. For the beautiful deer that I saw in my backyard that didn't bolt when I stepped onto the deck to get a closer look (too bad the battery for the digital camera wasn't charged). For a successful excursion to Target. For the opportunity the Reagan family has extended to us to say goodbye publicly to President Reagan. For being smart enough to marry the most patient, kindest man I've ever known.

Back to working out tonight. Cardio and weight machine for all-over workout and abs.

Back to good eating tonight, too - there are all kinds of leftovers in the fridge; I'm going to use the good ones and let the not-so-healthy ones wither away from neglect.

Have a good day!
