Good morning gang. How are you all today? Is anyone else amazed that it's already Thursday?

What are you thankful for today?Does something come to mind easily or is it a struggle to come up with something? You know sometimes in spite of all the blessings we have in life one thing can overwhelm us and make it hard to see the thankfuls. And that's ok because we really are only human.

Are you working out today?Trying something new?How is work going this week?Anyone have a healthy recipe to share.Anyone have a decadent recipe they want to fix and send straight to me???

Take care and have a wonderful day!

Miss P

I've been busy dealing with sweden and conferences and hotels and flights and illness. so not much time to work out although I've done a *LOT* of walking in the past week. and I've managed to keep my eating to reasonable - in spite of the swedish propensity for cream sauce and butter sauce and vanilla sauce...

I was walking this afternoon to the tram and really really looking forward to getting home to Italy.

the conference went well though - it was fun, educational, and I'm told my presentations were well-done and worth attending. Yay!

Anyways - good luck with the rest of the week everyone. I'm going to be offline again for a few days...

Margie, I'm SO sorry to hear about Brock. I know his parents had to have been mortified! Sure hope he heals quickly and that there isn't a bad scar. I'm glad to hear you got home safely and haven't sustained a lot of damage from the awful storms out that way.

Patty, tell us the details about your haircut. I bet it looks better than you think, but hope it grows out to your comfort level quickly.

Susan, about 18 months ago I had problems with my ankles swelling, one in particular. It shocked me to see it out of the blue. I had some x-rays and tests done, because the dr. thought it could be arthritis. I never did go to a rheumatologist for definitive bloodwork the way I probably should have, because I knew I didn't want to be on any of those meds with their side effects. The swelling went away and has come back a couple of times, but hasn't caused any real pain. If they do get sore, I put the magnets on them and it goes away. I've been taking some supplements off and on

Well, I ended up not exercising yesterday. That's okay, after 2 days of intense exercise (including one where I increased my weights), I think I needed that break. Today, back to Body Sculpt and Abs - sometime today.

Eating's been better, started off the morning with 1/2 a grapefruit and 1/2 bagel with strawberry cream cheese. Lunch, a cup o' strawbs with some Lite whipped cream, and cottage cheese. I'll do Crackling Oat Bran cereal (dry) for a snack later on today - great finger foods. I know I'll need a snack. Tonight... I'd like to fire up the new grill and do hot dogs! I'm already making the potato salad (using Lite Miracle Whip, not mayo) and we'll have baked beans as well.

Not sure what AF is doing. When she showed up a little early, I took an extra BC pill as suggested by the nurse at my OB-GYN. Seemed to stop her. It happened again this morning, took another extra, and again it seems to have halted. I just want to get back on a regular schedule - is that too much to ask?! If she could hold off two more days, I'll feel like next month will be more predictable.

I'm thankful for the little bit o' rain we've had! About 3/4" in the last 2 days. That's GOT to be more than we had for the entire month of may.

I'm thankful for the women's Bible study at our church on Thursdays for the next 6 weeks on "The Purpose-Driven Life". Here's something really strange: I'd done this study online here when Michele was moderating it, and I had a little notebook where I'd kept notes. I'd wanted to do this study again, couldn't seem to get started on my own... and now I can't find my notebook! It's like I'm *supposed* to start it again, including the journaling! Thankful for my Accountability Buddy in the study, too - she and I seem to be in the same stage in our lives, and sharing some of the same frustrations and inability to focus on what counts the most.

Odd one, but I'm thankful that I was around during the Reagan presidency. In looking at the Presidents before (I remember Carter and Nixon, too young before that) and since, there was really something special about that era.

As I was reading Margie's and your posts about Andie's and Brock's recent accidents, I thought to post that Amazing Story. How tragedy can happen in, literally, the blink of an eye.

Glad to hear Lauren was nearby to rescue Andie. And Margie, glad to hear little Brock is going to heal.

Susan, I have seasonal allergies and in the summertime when they are the worst I have trouble with my ankles swelling.

Oh I hope so!

Seriously - if any of my fit over 40 buddies want to visit Italy, please let me know - I'd be delighted to meet and play "native guide". ;-) Just don't come in August - the entire country shuts down.
