**Looking Forward Friday**

Isn't it great when it's Friday and you have a weekend to look forward to.Maybe you have special plans or maybe it's just finally some downtime to relax from a busy week.It can be the same with our fitness plans. We can workout and watch what we eat and look forward to the positive changes we will see.
How did your week go?Did you find something that helped you stick with your fitness and food plans? Was it a struggle and you just need to let it all go for awhile.I am really struggling with food. Any ideas??????It seems the more I think about it, the worse I do.Maybe I just need to stop thinking:)
So what's up for today?A big wrap up to your week?Special plans for the weekend?
Hope everyone has a happy healthy Friday!!!!

On the Reagan tribute - I watched a lot on Fox in the car on our little portable as we were out Wednesday evening. I wanted to see the ceremony and the people lining the road as the caisson traveled to the Capitol.
I just tuned into C-SPAN last night and watched as people walked past the casket. I didn't want to hear a lot of chatter. It was soothing to see so many people paying tribute. Lech Walesa came in with the rest of the people and was allowed inside the ropes to kneel at the casket, which he touched gently while praying. I was struck by one family in particular. I never could tell which of the men nearby was the father, or even if any of them were. There was a mother holding a calm, sleeping infant no more than one or two weeks old, two little girls, and two boys who were the older children. They all ranged in age from about 2 to 12. The oldest son was holding the youngest girl in his arms. The kids were dressed in their Sunday best, spotless, and well behaved. The baby looked almost like he or she was wearing a christening gown, and the mom looked like the busy mom of five children, but was neat and dressed nicely. The camera was on them for quite a while because it was at one of the guard-changing times. I was just impressed how the mom squatted down and spoke so gently to each of her children as they watched and asked questions about the proceedings. After standing in line for so long in the heat, their behavior was remarkable.
I just talked to Cheryl and got some general plans for today. Lauren's husband and 2 step-children are flying in from MD late this morning. They're all heading to Mom and Dad's for lunch. Once they're finished, they'll call to let me know they're heading out, so I can meet them at the mall. Rob will go to Orlando to the Marriott Cypress Harbour Resort, and Cheryl (and maybe Mom) and I will take in the mall. We haven't gotten to spend much time together.

It'll probably be mid-afternoon before they get out this way, so I can run some errands and possibly do a little of the never ending shrubbery trimming. I did mow, spray some Round-Up, and do some hand watering yesterday, so things are looking pretty good. It's sunny and hot today, just the way I like it.
I've been watching some of the Reagan Farewell coverage. It was so moving when they took him out of the Capital for the last time, particularly when they played Hail to the Chief. Mrs. Reagan has got to be emotionally and physically exhausted from all this. She's 82, herself. I want to watch the funeral tonight too.
I hope everyone has a great Friday!

Hey, Patty...I agree with you that the more I pay attention to my eating, the worse I do. You would think it would be the other way around. Also, the scale was up and I want to eat even more. You would think that would make me want to watch even more! I sure am fickle!
Lots of healthy stuff at Chili's to eat as well as lots of healthy foods at Costco. The killer is the samples they hand out. Have you tried the frozen thin crust pizza? It isn't so bad when you are craving pizza. It has fresh tomatoes cut up on it and the crust is very thin with little fat. I think it is called Margherita pizza and there are 3 in the box.
Sorry about the haircut. Yes, hair grows back thank goodness and one day, hairdressers will look at the pictures and give us what we want. I am struggling with my hair this time too and I had to trim it myself since the right side was longer than the left. I should really go back and have it fixed. This is my regular hairdresser too who usually gives me great cuts. I am having bad hair days every day.
Enjoy your lunch with your sis.

We do have to stop and smell the roses, Nancy. Good to hear that you had rain there finally. I can hear the farmers rejoicing.
Good job with the eating and exercising this week. Glad you took a day off. Rest days are really important.

So sorry you are feeling so badly Susan. I do hope this new development is straightened out soon. I hope it isn't the new meds causing the fatigue. Did you check with the doc about the side effects? You are such a small thing, you shouldn't be having such problems with your bp since you take care of yourself too. It's just not fair.
Yes, let the family take on some of the things on your to do list. Let them know how you are feeling and get them to pitch in more. Please get some rest and listen to your body if it tells you to take it easy.
I won't even try on my fat jeans today, that is where I am. I don't get why I am so out of control (again).
Hope you feel better soon.
