Nancy, happy to hear you had such a good weekend with your family!
I was able to find a skirt for the Cowford Ball in a smaller size with a zipper that works, so I exchanged the one I got the other night. I'm pretty happy about not having to have it altered and the zipper replaced. I returned the straight one even though I liked it better.
Headed in to Mom and Dad's to visit, and Cheryl and I hit the Dollar Tree and WalMart for some odds n' ends. I was happy to find some brightly colored plastic
Hey Nancy!Sounds like a great weekend for you, so glad.I was on the go all weekend. You know I realized I'm not taking much time to just relax and enjoy summer.Seems like I rush from one thing to another.I'm trying to plan at least one day this week where I slow some things down. Dad gave me a new chair for my porch and I've yet to go out and sit in it.Going to make some time for that soon.
Morning, we had a really nice day. Long but nice. We left here around 9:15 and we got home last night around 9:30. Our friends took us up to the Taconic Park and we ate a picnic lunch. From there they took up to Bish Bash Falls. We hiked 1 mile (uphill) there and 1 mile back. After that we drove up the river to another spot and we hiked up a bunch of rocks so they could show us the view. It was beautiful but I would not consider myself a climber. A little scary if you ask me. From there we drove to the property. Nothing on it but a well ..............lol. We hiked down to the river and walked along it on the rocks. It was a good challenge. We drove around the area for a few hours checking out the area. Then headed home around 7. I fell asleep against Bill around 8:30 till 9:15, got home saw the kids and put everyone including us into bed. It was relaxing and different, for us anyhow.
Nancy, glad you had such a nice visit with your DD and SIL.
After some morning errands, I went to the nail salon and had a manicure. Had some lunch with DH and then settled myself outside for some reading. It was very quiet around the house since oldest DD and BF had a christening to attend. Younger DD and BF headed to the beach and DS was at work. There's quite a mess around here and in spite of it I settled myself in my chair with a book and a magazine. I seem to only be able to sit still for so long before I felt the need to go back in the house to clean up a few things and then back to my chair I went. I did manage to spend a good portion of the day with the feet up and even got a little color. Light and easy pasta and grilled chicken for dinner, took Otto for a walk and then settled on the couch and DD and I watched Big Fish-very nice movie. Hard to believe the weekend is over, but then again they do go quickly!
