Monday Check-In.....

Time to report! What did you have for breakfast, lunch, snacks? Are you moving? Are you journaling? Are you counting points? Are you drinking your water? Have you said the he** with it and eaten all the cookies or M&Ms you wanted to? What are you planning for dinner (knowing that plans sometimes don't work out)? If you haven't moved from your hammock, what are you planning to do when you move?

I'll go....

Breakfast was a bowl of Kashi Go Lean with slivered almonds, cinnamon, SoySlender vanilla and ff half-and-half, and 4 oz oj; chased it all with with 20 oz java on the train. Morning snack was whole almonds. Lunch was salad with a scoop of chicken salad on top. And half of a lone snickerdoodle the size of a manhole cover. It was yummy. And I was sorry I gave half of it away.

Dinner - it's supposed to be light. Might be soup. Might be salad with Trader Joe's shrimp on top.

Moving? I cannot wait to move away from my desk. Wish I had a hammock; I could string one up across my cube - it would fit nicely with the "business casual" atmosphere around here......Workout is a serious one - 40 min cardio with some running intervals, and weight machine for overall body work and abs. I think I'll save the freeweights for tomorrow night.

Let me get out of my hammock and post :) Actually I haven't made it to my hammock but the day is not over yet.

For my workout I got in a 6 mile run.Came in and climbed on Jim(total gym) for a LB body workout. Also did lunges , squats and plies.I was really sweating and it wasn't pretty. I had on some grey cotton shorts and I sweated so much the backside was soaked. Looked questionable!Ok, then I went over to mow at in laws but even I know when the mower starts blowing black smoke it's time to stop.I thought maybe it was the oil but it was just grass stopped up in it.Ok, then it was back to CL. The plan from there was a quick lunch and go get groceries. But a friend called and asked me over so here I am 3 hrs later still needing to get groceries, finish work and feed DH.

I had some kind of power bar for breakfast and an apple.A hard boiled egg midmorning.2 barely there chicken strips for lunch.Thinking supper will be pasta and veggies.Somebody has to eat those carbs!!!!

Tomorrow I have to finish mowing cause they are callin for 90 degress Wed and the palace pool will be opening.Who's coming to join me?BYOCB(bring your own cabana boy)

Ok, I'm headed to the store now. Who put cookies and M&Ms in my head???????

Miss P

I've had a very good day in the food department but no exercise so far.

It's been an OK day. Breakfast was Vanilla Special K with fresh strawberries and a banana. Snack was raisins and walnuts and almonds. Lunch leftover grilled chicken on top of some mixed greens with baby carrots, some swiss cheese chunks and 1/2 ww pita with vegetable hummus. Mid afternoon was a mixture of watermelon, cantalope fresh pineapple and a few grapes thrown in. Dinner (which I should be in the kitchen fixing) will be chicken fajitas-think I may be clucking soon and may find myself at Patty's soon! Work was OK, I sort of labeled it Wackadoo day-seemed to be a large number on the loose today! A hammock in the office-will have to put that in the suggestion box-I'm still advocating afternoon siesta time-just hasn't gotten the bosses approval yet! And if it doesn't decided to rain there will be an after dinner stroll with Otto.

I've spent way too much time on the computer today. I had a good start with cleaning the bathroom and getting it organized and getting a little housecleaning done, then I went to Walmart and Publix for groceries and stuff. It started pouring while I was in the grocery store, but knowing how that acts as a Rain Dance around here, I had taken in my giant umbrella. The rain was blowing so hard that the umbrella didn't do a whole lot to keep me dry. Luckily, I had on my Theresa Heinz Kerry flip flops (rhinestones ;-) and shorts and a t-shirt, so it didn't really matter. Got all the stuff either put away or bagged up to take down to Orlando, then came over to check the board and emails. Well... I've spent a good part of the afternoon here. It's been overcast and too wet to mow. Guess I could pack for tomorrow morning... OK, we got the rain we needed, and I want sun!

I had a bowl of Reese's Puffs cereal for breakfast, some almonds for a snack, and a bowl of fat-free plain yogurt and low fat cottage cheese mixed together with almonds in it for crunch as a late lunch. I need to get some kind of veggies in me at dinner. Maybe Tim will want to go out since Rob is gone...

Workout was good and according to plan - 45 min cardio, good overall weight work on the machine, 130 seated weighted crunches, and weighted oblique stretches.

Dinner - Talk about a change of plans. DH got himself a prepared meal before I got to the train station - lasagna and meatballs with salad, I had a 2-egg spinach and tofu cheese frittata and a glass of 1% milk.

Even managed to drink a lot of H20 today without struggling.

A good day!

Did "okay" with eating: bagel in the morning, PB&J sandwich with a chunk of cheese and fruit salad for lunch at a friend's house, Garlic Shrimp with rice and steamed carrots for dinner. The killer was the choco chip cookies I made mid-day - I sampled one from each pan I baked, plus couldn't resist some dough balls! That on top of a banana split for dessert on Sunday.

OTOH, I had a PHENOMENAL run last night - 4.1 miles in under 40 minutes (a little over 9-1/2 minutes per mile). That after not finishing off the week really well in exercising. AF finally hit yesterday - Sunday I was just beat (partly from AF, partly from a day at the lake on Saturday), and yesterday I slept in. At least she's back on schedule, not hitting days early.

I realize that this is not Monday but I did not get home from work until after 6:00 and then I had a meeting that went late into the evening. So this is what I did on Monday.. I had courage and stepped on the scale yesterday. I found that I had gained five pounds. I have been working on losing weight and have lost almost 30 pounds since last August. I certainly don't want to head any farther backwards! (my new clothes won't be fitting)(s) My pedometer had broken so I got another one and I got my 10000 steps in yesterday around all the work and meetings. However, I find I am reverting to my old habits of munching on sweets and I have to CUT it OUT! Monday I walked, but Monday I also munched! Today I hope will be a better day!
