Extra credit day was a good one. I was so happy to have the day off because I actually didn't feel all that well by early afternoon, and I gladly put aside any notions of doing anything around here. I sat outside until it got too warm and actually FINISHED a book that I had been reading before it was due back at the library and sat myself on the couch and watched a movie. A good trip to the dr. rounded off the day and I have no explanations on what my problems were but the tests were negative, things seem to have stabalized and that's all that counts and now it's time for some life style changes and when things do get rough to learn some remedies to get me through the tough days.
Extra Credit Tuesday was a pretty good day. I put together my look-ahead schedule for work for the next 6 weeks and I'm not too thrilled with what I see, but it could change so I've decided not going to sweat it until I know I have to. Then I'm going to make people share the sweat in getting the work done.
Dinner was healthier than I had planned. Instead of Boston Market, DH and I met at the train earlier than usual (not the usual volume of traffic on the highways), so we went to a little local Greek place near the station where the food is good and the check at the end also goes down easy. I had Greek-style roasted half-chicken (lemon, olive oil, and herbs and what looked like a smaller chicken than usual) with a salad (oil and vinegar) and steamed cauliflower (which I mashed and added some half-and-half and Promise margarine to to make SBD fauxtatoes). A nice surprise. DH had roast turkey with the trimmings. It was too hot for me today for a Thanksgiving dinner. We both enjoyed our choices.
I'm heading downstairs for my workout. I'm going to do 30 min of cardio rather than stretching it out, and freeweights for arms and legs. Going to try to be done and in the shower by 10:30, so I gotta get to it.
It really works! When I read about "extra credit". I wondered what I could do? As I headed to work this morning, I noticed the American Flag had become unfastened and was dragging on the ground on our Main Street. Before I new what I was doing I got the flag put back proper. Could that have been my extra credit for the day? It must have been because the rest of the day was very nice and non stressful for once. I got quite a bit accomplished. I have cut out the munching today and I even had time for a walk during my noon hour. I called our "Maytag" man actually it's a Whirlpool man this afternoon to fix our washer. Lo and behold! He is downstairs fixing it tonight, right now! Amazing! This extra credit really works!
Good on the extra credit side, decent on the exercise, not so good on the eating again.
I got the kitchen floor mopped, decided to do the bathroom floors, AND vacuumed. Plus got the laundry started. I was doing all right on the eating until I snuck those choco chip cookies and had some candy. For dinner, we grilled some chicken on our new grill. We're novices at grilling, but we've already graduated from hot dogs, LOL! I guess when you've cooked long enough, it's just another method. Anyway, chicken, mashed taters, corn on the cob. I didn't have any dessert. I got around to exercising last night at around 8pm, did the Body Sculpt and abs work. I also managed to get a few chapters re-read on TPDL.
I was totally out of it yesterday, never got out of second gear, so burying myself in things around the house seemed to fit. Allison just had to put up with me being spacey. At least I'm in 3rd gear this morning.
