Good Morning,

It's a very warm and humid day here as well. I made the mistake of not turning on the ac last night just to get the humidity of the rom and I ended up tossing and turning most of the night. I wanted to get up this morning and get myself back on the workout track but was just too sleepy this morning.

I think I will need to add that it seems like I'm off to having a wacky happy hump day. It's seems like the more humidity there is the less brain activity I have, either that or it's the after effects of that nasty stuff I had to drink yesterday morning before the CT scan! I was making myself scrambled eggs for breakfast and shaking in what I thought was pepper and kept shaking and not seeing any little black specks in my eggs and then it suddenly occured to me that it wasn't the pepper shaker it was the salt shaker. Unfortunately the weather is sticky enough that the salt shaker was clogged and as hard as I was shaking there wasn't very much salt coming out. There's been a few other incidents this morning-so it may be a very wacky day for me.

Nothing else on the agenda for today except heading back to work this morning. My iron is beeping at me that it's time to iron the ensemble for the day. Hope Happy Hump Day treats you well.

Happy "H" Day!

Patty, I always talk about food. It starts at 8 am and continues until I'm asleep. It helps me get over the hallucinations (and I didn't stray into Fourbucks on the way home yesterday, either).

My week has been comfortably routine with no surprises (not even a spoken message or heavy breathing from George), and I like it that way just fine, thanks. I even answered the phone at work at 4:50 yesterday afternoon; that's usually just asking for trouble, but it actually wasn't someone trying to make their 11th-hour crisis mine.

Last night's late workout was good. I managed 35 min on the tread, no bike, and freeweights from head to toe (8- to 10-lbs), a soothing shower, and into bed by just before 11.

Tonight's my night off from exercise. We're heading to the ILs' place for a quick check-in, then home to a light meal. If I go crazy temporarily, I might hit the tread for a half-hour, but I'm not planning anything more.

Gotta go earn my paycheck. Like I don't....

Have a great day!

Good morning ladies.

Patty, George called me yesterday and I told him that he had the wrong number. He should be calling your house. That you've got a great hammock, good books and lots of potato chips and that you loved small fuzzy things! Was that the wrong thing to say? I also told him you were a hot blonde 30 something. I expect he'll be on the phone any minute now. No, don't thank me. Glad to help you out!

Gonna be a warm one here today. I'm thinking beach this afternoon.

Yesterday was a rather frustrating. Max was helping me make a lunch for the picnic and pulled a muscle in his neck while reaching for the bananas. So, he ended up being pushed around in the stroller all morning, whimpering whenever he tried to get out. I definitely got my exercise pushing him up and down the hill to the soccer field so that he could watch the kids play. He was feeling better in the afternoon and managed to sit and play a video game with Adam. Then, a houseful of company descended on us. I think Max was a little overwhelmed by it, so he came upstairs to lay down on the couch. DD looked at him and his eye was all gooey, so I bathed it thinking perhaps he had just gotten something in it. When he woke up, his eye was stuck shut again. I think it's pink eye. Sent dd to the drugstore last night to get drops. I hope this isn't what the rest of the week is going to be like.

I need to get out and put some hours into the garden this morning. Lots of weeds to pull.

Food has been a right off again this week. I'll try to do better today.

Have a goo one ladies!

Hi everyone! My AOL email service isn't working well & now I'm checking to see if I can post here. I've been out of town for awhile. We went to Dallas for a Rangers game (awful!!! - they lost horribly that day) and then took a little trip to Natchitoches, Louisiana (where the movie "Steel Magnolias" and other films were shot). It was a cute little town - lots of beautiful homes & bed & breakfasts along the Cane River. It rained almost the whole time, so we didn't take pictures and I didn't get to tour a plantation or go to the fort. Next time! Picked up a Cane River Cuisine cookbook and may try one of the Seafood Gumbo recipes. Saw the Steel Magnolia home where Sally Field & Julia Roberts lived in the movie (a bed & breakfast) and the bed & breakfast next door, which was the one where "Ouizer" (Shirley MacLaine) resided. Of course, when we got home, I had to watch the movie again to pick out the locations Danny and I visited. The first person we met was the owner of Georgia's Gift Shop downtown, named Rita Fontenant. She noticed Danny's baseball jersey with his last name on it & asked me what his name was - of course I pronounced it with the correct French pronunciation. She said that "Hollier" (pronounced "oyay") was her maiden name & that some of her relatives are in Lafayette, LA, which is where Danny's dad was born. Small world! I bought my cookbook from her and wished I could have bought some more books about that area of Louisiana and a photo scrapbook of the making of Steel Magnolias movie.

Well, I better get moving. I'm on vacation this week, but there are things I must do and a workout planned.

Have a great day everyone!

OK, so the e-mail I sent you about 15 minutes ago won't go through! Welcome back from your adventures. Sorry the weather didn't cooperate, but what a fun trip. "Steel Magnolias" - love that movie!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation, Kat!
