Had a fun 3 days in Orlando, but it's good to be home. Cheryl is ready to move down there. The landscaping everywhere is so beautiful, there is every kind of store, restaurant, nightclub, and other activity imaginable. and there are some gorgeous homes too. The resort was just fabulous, which makes it hard to come back to the real world.
We stopped by the St. Augustine Outlet Mall and also had lunch at a Schlotsky's in Ormond Beach on the way down. As soon as we got checked in, Cheryl was tired and decided to take a nap. I was chomping at the bit to find Erin, so using some clues I'd picked up from emails, the yellow pages, and a map, I figured out where she lived. I drove there while Cheryl napped and got some pictures. Then, I went to her work address and realized I had

Man, when the big guy at the corner altar - umm, sorry, in the corner office - gets himself in a snit, things do go crazy around here. Nice to have your group's competence called into question in the middle of a crisis. Makes you look forward to leaping out of bed and running to work every morning. Sheesh twice! Patty, I'll trade for the chickens.
OK, you've been waiting with baited breath - I did not work out Thursday night. As a matter of fact, I fell asleep at the computer for almost an hour. Never thought it could happen, but it did. I'll work out tonight when I get home, probably cardio only.
Tonight I'm working late to wrap up production on this thing that's due Monday morning. Mostly in case the big guy comes back Monday morning looking for an excuse to rewrite. I might come in a couple hours on Sunday, but tomorrow is party time - my niece's 7th birthday. Looking forward to seeing both kids - they suddenly have busy social lives and haven't been around my last two phone calls.
Gotta go back to work. Hope you're having more fun than I am. I'm still laughing, though. What else can you do?

My job isn't physical in the least, just sitting on my bu**. So I don't feel physically like I've worked hard, as you do after a day outdoors. It's the mental pressure that's really grinding some days for me; that's when I use whatever workout I do to blow off the steam that I wisely keep inside while I'm at the office. I don't notice I'm brain-tired once I'm into it. Something takes over. I don't know what it is, or if anyone else feels the same way. I'd hardly call it an exerciser's high, but there's something. I won't work out if my mind is fried (like it must have been last evening when I fell asleep at home at the computer). And I'll quit my workout when I feel shaky - like I used to feel when I ate too much sugar without eating enough regular food to offset its effects, or now when I don't drink enough H20. I was told that people with HPB shouldn't do weight work that involves overhead lifts or presses; my BP is controlled now, but I still don't do many of those moves. When I've complained of feeling shaky a few times recently, I was trying to do some of them. I'm stubborn, but I'm learning to listen to my body.
Helpful, huh?
I read what you do on the farm to help and I'm amazed.I do chickens but DH would never let me get in the big equipment!!Just the thought of what I could do scares him.Man, you run into the house once with the riding mower or disconnect the phone line once (or twice, 3x tops)with the pushmower and they never forget it.Sometimes just for kicks I like to ask him if he wants me to drive the tractor. The look on his face is priceless.

I got really shaky years ago one time working out on weight machines. I think I was overdoing it, and it was a very scary feeling. I think you're wise to stop when you feel that way. I did and was more careful after that.
I think once you're into exercising the endorphins help you shift into the right side of your brain. I love anything that causes that feeling.
