You're not confused - we slept until 8:30am here, obviously we needed it.

Hi, Nancy! 50 degrees!!! BRR!!! I'm glad I live in E. TX when I read that! I'm like Patty, enjoying the whining about the weather because I will be whining when it turns colder. It is extremely muggy here in Longview, but I just roll with it. :o)

Hope you have a nice LAZY day - you deserve it. Well, I'm going to do a weights workout and then get ready for a long day at Steinmart. Will work 12-9pm and then tomorrow from 12-6. I'm sure I will be tired!

Did my devotional this a.m. and am really enjoying them these days. I'm hoping for a Sunday off soon so I can go to church.

Good Morning,

I'm always on a little different schedule on the weekend, I get up later and do everything a little later. Actually at 8AM I was still out walking. I did a nice 3 mile walk. I wore my HR monitor this morning and actually kept within the parameters and will say that it's taking me longer to do those 3 miles but came home nice and sweaty but not as achy. I tried wearing a different pair of sneakers too that have a bit more cushioning in them and I think that helped too.

I did end up going grocery shopping last night but after doing the shopping, loading the car, unloading the car I wasn't feeling particulary inclined to putting everything away last night. I had stopped that the local pizza place and got myself a great grilled chicken salad, sat myself on the couch with the remote all to myself, watched a movie, read a magazine and actually made it all the way through What Not to Wear. The time spent on the couch also included a pint of ice cream and a spoon in my hand. I put the ice cream back in the freezer after I kept nibbling away at it and realized that it was quite possible that I could eat the entire container! It was a low fat variety but I think there was a little more than the 1/2 cup serving size involved!

The weather here is again quite warm and humid and I'm actually glad the sun wasn't out during most of my walk.

I need to get the energy level up so that I can attack the dust bunnies, and the loads of laundry. I've been left on my own once again but what gets done gets done. I have a new library book to read and part of the day will be spent in my chair reading it.

Hope your day goes well whatever your plans are.

Good morning Nancy!50 degrees!!I couldn't stand that in the middle of June!Suppose to hit mid 80s here. Tomorrow is suppose to be the one day out of the last ten and the next seven that we don't have any chance of rain.Just sunny all day long, I hope!!

I'm heading out for a walk soon with my sister.Have been on the phone again with rental company. The adjuster said everything was all set up but no one can find it in the system. They said that NEVER happens!!!Monday I'm just sending the guys down to get a car and they can deal with it.

I'm not sure what the rest of the day holds but I KNOW hammock time will be in there.I ws thinking about it and Nancy's post convinced me I need it.I would really love to get out this evening when it cools off and get a run in.We'll see if that gets done.Maybe I'll just come out of CL early and make it happen.

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning!

It's definitely a play day today. Cookout (yup, in the rain - who cares?) at my sister's house for niece's birthday. I'm planning on eating cake and goodies after my salad and grilled sausage/peppers/onions (can't remember how long it's been since I've had one of those). The housework can all wait until Sunday. Big cleaning day ahead - the basement needs to be broomed and vacuumed (big UGH!), the bathroom needs help, and the dust on the furniture needs removing. The deck furniture needs to be brought out and hosed down, and the air conditioner needs to be put in the bedroom window. Busy day.

This morning I saw a little chipmunk sitting on my deck. So skittissh - it took off as soon as it saw me looming in the doorway. I even had some nuts for it - missed a good treat!

Hope the weather cooperates with your plans today. And if it doesn't, so what - take a nice walk in the cool refreshing rain!

Sounds like a fun evening, Deb! I hate scales too, and I haven't been getting on one these days. Although, I better get back on mine before I get on my doctor's or else I am sure to be shocked! Clothing is so much more fun than scales as a measuring device.
