Good Morning,

Yeah for the first day of summer! It is another beautiful day here. I love the warm summer days. We had a really nice day yesterday. I had to do some running around in the morning and a run to the supermarket for something to throw on the bbq for dinner, but DH and I took a short ride to the gardens that are nearby...its a small piece of nature inside the confines of the "burbs". A very relaxing and tranquil place to just sit, stroll or both. We had a very nice dinner together with our oldest and DD's BF joined us for a very decedant cake DD had purchased for her dad. I had bought DH "The Hobbit" as a small gift for Father's Day and we enjoyed our book reading outside and he commented that although not all the kids were around that he had a really special day.

I don't know whether it's the fact that I really feel rested and relaxed after the weekend instead of my feeling worn out and exhausted after a rush around trying to get everything done type of weekend, but for the first time in a very long time I don't have that dread of starting a new work week. I was definitely feeling the effects of too much to eat yesterday and not drinking enough water yesterday...but plans are in place for a better day today. Meals are planned, snacks and water ready to be packed for a day at work and after a post dinner stroll with Otto some form of exercise. I'm thinking weights today. My dryer has buzzed me so I better get that laundry out before the wrinkles set in!

Hope you all have a great day!

Margie, thanks for your lovely start for the day and your kind thoughts.

Yes, at Clark's Fish Camp, which is built out over Julington Creek, you can actually see gators swimming in the water. It's against the law to feed them. People water ski and wakeboard out there. There's no way I'd do that. The kids were thrilled to get to see the real thing in the wild though. The restaurant is so unique, because it must have over 1000 stuffed animals and skins from someone's hunting expeditions. Some are arranged in vignettes like in a museum, so it's entertaining and educational

Good Monday morning.

It's been a zoo at our house. Dh's uncle and cousins are here from San Francisco. They came on Thursday and it's been non-stop since. Food, food and more food! I should be about 20 lbs. heavier from all the food I've been eating over the last month, but amazingly, I've lost a couple of pounds. I guess getting sick will do that!

I think we're allergic to dh's relatives. First his cousin and family came from NY and we came down with this cold/cough thing (sounds like the same bug you have Rhonda. Very sinusy and sits right in the base of the throat with a dry hack). Anyhoo, they left and so, I thought, did the bug. Now, more company and the boys and I have all come down with the bug again. It's been the same duration (5 days) and I'm finally starting to feel a bit better. Laryngitis for the last 3 days. I've been walking around squeaking at everyone! Sheesh, if I hear anymore of his family is coming, I'm heading for the hills!!!!

It's gonna be another warm one here and from what I've heard, there's no end in sight yet. Mid 80's again. I went out on the weekend a purchased two more fans and they were selling fast! The upside is that I've been consuming vast amounts of H20. With this cold and the heat, I'm feeling constantly dehydrated.

I figured since I'm on a roll here with the weight, I'm going to take advantage and try to keep my eating under control and get some decent workouts in.

Have a goo day ladies!

Shar, hope you're feeling better soon. I sound like a seal when I have my coughing spasms -- really attractive. The one bright spot is that it's taken most of my appetite away, and I've lost a couple of pounds over the last few days.

Hugs,

Rhonda
