Good Morning,

Sorry but no thrilling plans for me...the thought had crossed my mind to perhaps run away and join the circus....but I guess I'll just stick with the usual and go to slay dragons at work! I've already accomplished a lot around the house this AM and still sticking to the plan of some sort of workout in the evening hours. That's something that I never considered doable but find I'm enjoying it a little more since I'm not constantly looking at the clock and working around time constraints. So I've been reversing my day a bit, things I would do around the house after work I'm trying to get up just a little earlier and take care of those things in the morning and then after walking Otto heading straight down for a workout. I'm supposed to be tutoring this evening and won't be getting home till after 9 so something simple will be on the workout agenda for this evening...maybe just a really good stretching session.

Nancy, I don't know what that woman was looking at, but I've seen pictures of you and there is no way I would mistake you for DH's mother! Maybe it's time to get her eyes checked!

Hope your Tuesday is thrilling!

Susan

Morning Nancy, great minds think alike. We posted at the same time.....lol. When I log on and see no posts at that hour I think, maybe I should not start a post. Oh well, nothing thrilling going on here. You can write my day out on a post card and just reuse the same one, week after week.

I have some house work to do, but that is normal. Robbie finished his classes and his finals so he is done and home for the summer. Katie has one last full day of school, which is today. Tomorrow and Thursday are half days and Friday is one hour. Then the fun begins. Actually we can relax some. The pressures of school work, wear me out almost as much as the kids. Looking forward to not having to constantly ask, is all your homework done?

I started to journel yesterday and track my points. I have plans of going to the store today and buying a scale. I think we need one in the house to monitor the weight. I am sure its higher then it should be, I know its higher then it should be! So going to track my points at home and pop onto the scale in the mornings. Today should include a walk of some sorts. I am heading to library today to check out the video section. Plan on renting a few different ones and reviewing them. Need to mix things up here and just not sure what to do. I have several reasons other then my health to get this body into motion. Sharons wedding is September 25th, my 25th High School reunion is July 31st, Katie and I just booked a trip to California in August to visit with my sister in-law, and we uncovered the pool on Sunday and well its getting hot outside!

I have been working 3 to 4 days these last few weeks with Steve and things are starting to wind down for him. Looks like I will be with him until the 9th of July and then I leave for my vacation and he should be getting ready to close on his house and head south. There is a small chance I might be able to work for Tom (he is the other attorney we share the office with). His ladies are talking to him and I just love them. So we shall see. I got a call this morning at 8, from the attorney that works in the same building with Brian. He is looking for someone part-time so I am going to speak to him on Thursday. I might be able to pick up a few hours over the summer if nothing happens with the office I am still in. Things will work out I am sure. If not I will be home working on my tan, the exercise, the eatting and the cabana boys........Oh wait we don't have any of them.

Nancy having a good eatting day does make us feel good and it gives us the boost to do good again. Keep it up and one day will turn into 2 and so on...........!The mistake about age was just a mistake. I am sure you do not look like yours husbands mother. Smack that person!

Everyone else have a great day!

Good morning, all!

Chillin' a bit today before the next big rush. I'm convinced I work in an asylum, and I've been operating under the illusion that I was the sane one. And I still believe that because I refuse to buy into the MO around here. Slaying dragons is right, Nancy! I hope I'm still standing at the end.

Quick weekend recap - the weather has been gorgeous since Saturday morning. After a brief downpour at 4 am Saturday (loud enough to awaken me from a deep sleep), the skies have been bright and clear. The cookout Saturday was fun, the birthday party/cookout a blast, the kids' behavior golden - no meltdowns, no he-did-its/she-did-its, no fights. Father's Day we spent at the ILs for a nice afternoon visit with tea and strawberry shortcake; we had gone to the cemetery for my dad and my mom's father on the way to my sister's house Saturday.

My long to-do list isn't all done. The basement is still dungeon-like, but the bathroom sparkles, the floors shine, the rugs are clean, the deck furniture is finally where it belongs, the ac unit is in, and the furniture is no longer covered in green dust. This Saturday is our block party, and we have plans for something Sunday (I can't remember what), so the basement may remain a dungeon, but I'll be washing the windows Saturday morning.

Oh, yeah, and working out to spite AF, who's also on her way to haunt me. AF and my big boss in a bad mood (normal for him, I guess) - I must be living some other person's life! Computer at home is acting up - DH has no problem booting up, but I have to try for about 20 minutes before I have any success. Must be the bad vibes I'm bringing home from work.....

Have a good one!

So I guess we share that the theory that we work in asylums...I always thought I was the sane one too! That theory is going down the drain too!

Hope today is a better one for you!

Getting myself together for an 11:30 meeting about the Cowford Ball will be my dragon to slay. I need to take enough of the right stuff, so I don't scare everyone away with my barking and try to look halfway presentable and act coherent. Not easy at this point... At least it will be at a restaurant called Seven Bridges, which has a fun atmosphere and good food. Since I've been sick, the only thing that's been very appealing is cereal. I've lost a couple of lbs., so I'm wishing that part would stick around. I do think I've turned the corner on the cold and hope I'm on the mend.

It's sunny and humid here this morning. I think we're supposed to be only around 90 or so today, which is low compared to what we have been.

I have been drinking a lot of fluids and eating pretty well the last few days, so I think I should do well with that today. Just walking around and doing everyday stuff feels like a workout right now.

Nancy, I can't believe anyone would think you're your husband's mother. I've seen your pictures too, and the woman must have some kind of problem.

Allison has swim lessons at 11am, then gymnastics camp from 1-4pm. I'll get an UB/LB workout in today with abs, though it might be later than sooner (I might find other things to do while Allison is at camp). My goal is another 5-days of working out this week.

Also need to get my menu in order, and do some grocery shopping to that ends.

Will do my study momentarily, here. For something fun, I'm going to narrow down paint chip choices today!

You have some very good motivators coming up. Lucky you have the pool to help get in some workouts that are fun!

Nancy, there's NO WAY that lady was being honest when she said that to you!!! There are some people in this world that say things just to get a rise out of someone. Perhaps she had wanted your husband to get together with her daughter & never got over it! Anyway, there is NO WAY you look old enough to be your dh's mom!!! You look so cute in your pictures!!! Hugs and don't even think about it anymore!

I think Flo is thru with me for the month, so I thought it would be safe to wake up at 5:30 a.m. to get my devotional and workout in - what a great feeling to get both done!!! I got a powerwalk in after Bible study & prayer time. Picked up a WOW CD too, this past weekend, which helps inspire me to stay close to God.

Have to stay OP (on plan) with the points from now on! I bought some cute fuschia capris and a sleeveless fuschia top to go with them (need shoes now!) at a bargain yesterday. Anyway, if I spend money on clothes, it always motivates me to eat correctly. So far, it's been a soy smoothie w/fruit, coffee & tea. Need some water now.

Well, better get back to work. DS has All Star practice again tonight and I work at Steinmart (which is going great, so far!). Another exciting day, huh?! Definitely no cabana boys in my world, but that's ok as I have a weak heart & constitution anyway, LOL!

Have a great day, all!
