Thrilling Tuesday Wrap Ups...

So how was Tuesday? Any thrills come your way? Was it a tedious Tueday? Did temptation come and tease you and get in your way of good eating? Or were you able to whisk the temptation away and have a good day? Any interesting new menu ideas or snack ideas? Do you feel healthy and fit after a terrific workout or are you still toying with the idea of what to do or if you should just wait until tomorrow? Tell all!

My meeting today was productive with the four women who've worked on the Cowford Ball for years. I knew I could learn a lot from them and took lots of notes. I see a trip to a crowded warehouse in my near future to look through and see what props and games are left from previous years. From there, I'll know what needs to be ordered or made.
I couldn't make myself eat breakfast this morning, which is very unusual for me, but I had a healthy grilled chicken, cashew, and artichoke salad that was very good. I had a banana and a little yogurt later this afternoon, and dinner was cereal. I just can't handle anything heavier right now.
By the time I left the restaurant, took Rob to a friend's house, and went to the store, I had that hot, clammy feeling like when you have a fever. I checked the board and some emails, then took a nap. I don't feel hot any more, but I'm congested again, so took more medicine. I'm hoping it will kick in soon. Other than an occasional cough and sounding like an older Lucille Ball, I'm doing better.
It was a rainy afternoon here and is still overcast. I may walk out and take a look at the flowers before it gets dark.
How was everyone else's day?

Food has gone pretty well today.I got out my South Beach Diet book...again.Tomorrow I may actually read it ....again.I have been thinking about what Lori said about salads with her meals.I've been trying to have a salad and lots of veggies with my meals. Also have done well grabbing apples during the day instead of cookies and things.
Trying to decide about a short walk before tucking my chickens in.Possibly I may only walk as far as my hammock.

Workout is on hold until 9/9:30. Ate too much at dinner (Chinese food - seems to be the most satisfying meal when AF comes callin'), so it needs to settle before I can exercise. I'll be doing 30 min cardio and freeweights for UB and LB. Then I'll shower and hit the feathers - no, Patty, not real birds - until tomorrow.
Susan - you're sounding so up and positive today. I'm glad you're feeling better. Maybe those few minutes of time every day with your feet up, a good book in one hand, and a nice cuppa tea in the other is just the thing you need. Whatever it is, I'm happy for you. (And although I'm sure it's not the kind of surprise you want to tell stories about, I'm still smiling at your tales of Dumpster-Diver Dog).

My 'thrilling Tuesday' was a very ordinary one.

We were all so excited at the nursing home today with the Corporate People coming. Our boss was really hyper. Instead of announcing over the intercom for all Dept Heads to come to the Nurses Station, she announced for all Dept Heads to come to the NERVOUS Station! The whole building was chuckling over that.
I work here in town tomorrow and don't commute so I'll have time to get in a nice walk! I'm thinking I'm caught up in my work for a day or so at the shop, so I won't be working at high speed. It should be a good day tomorrow.
