This cake had better be good....

I started off with the chippie on the phone this morning ordering this thing. When I heard the price of the medicum size cake I decided that I love DH but maybe not to the tune of $34. So I ordered the small one and asked if I could have Happy Birthday written on it...the response was you don't mind if it says Happy Bday because the cake is really small and might not fit...should have just changed my mind at that point. So after work I truck on over there taking all the side streets to save some time. I walk from one end of the mall to the other and can't find this place. It seems you can't access the place from the inside only from the outside. So I go in and I assume that the chippie I was speaking to this morning is helping her friend with some ice cream and there was a children's party going on with the decibal level of noise just too loud to describe. I pick up my cake and go running to the car before my very expensive cake melts. I arrive home to discover that UPS has delivered a package to my house inside my front door and decided that they should lock the screen door. Unfortunately there is no key for said door only an inside lock. What the purpose was I'm not sure since its a full screen and if someone really wanted the package just slit the screen. So I'm now outside with a very expensive melting cake and no way to get in without a. ruining the brand new full length screen or b. trying to get in through the back door screen. I opted for plan B.--so to the back I go, take my trusty key and slice right through that sucker! Now the dog is whining inside the phone is ringing inside, my cell phone then rings and my phone is dead. My key is inserted in the top lock but can't get my key in the bottom lock. The easy solution would of course would have been to slit the screen where the screen door latches, open the screen and then use my keys for their normal function. But panic and annoyance did get in the way of logical thinking. So anyway that's my latest adventure and now to tell DH how his back door screen was ruined in one easy motion. As I said, this cake had better be good!

Yes the cake was delicious but definitely a rare treat! The dark chocolate on top and surrounding the outside the cake was really GOOD! No we did not share with Otto although he certainly tried his best to participate in the festivities! And yes I was quite a sight! Dh knew I had to do what needed to be done although he is a little miffed at the USPS and thought perhaps I could have attacked the screen a little more delicately!
