Good morning everyone.I was reading over some of yesterday posts. Some I wanted to reply to and didn't get to and for that I apologize.Anyway, I noticed how some posts mentioned personal problems, family illness, the passing of family members, etc. It struck me how this board is about so much more than fitness. In today's fast paced world it is a wonderful thing to have a place, and friends, that you can come to with whatever is on your mind. The reality of life is that it is not always easy and sometimes no one can do anything to really help. But to have the knowledge that there is someone who listens and cares is a truly wonderful thing.Women , I think, especially fel the need to be strong for their family and to take care of everyone else. How wonderful to have a place to come and let down your guard and vent when you need to.Quite honestly this board, my running and a big bag of chips have kept me out of therapy :)

So what's on your mind today?Anyone have any thankfuls they want to post?Or is today a day when the thankfuls are hard to come up with?Taking some time to workout? Are your June goals on track?I had to go back the other day and see what my June goals were!!!

I hope you each have a wonderful day and are each blessed by the friendship we share here.

Miss P

Susan, I hope you are able to get to the bottom of the "swollen ankle syndrome" soon. I'll be interested to hear what you discover.

Lori, sorry I didn't have time to post yesterday. I'm glad to see you're feeling a little more upbeat today.

I learned something interesting at a recent parenting course. The woman was discussing how important it is to take care of "me". At one end of the spectrum is selflessness and at the other end of the spectrum is selfishness. Right in the middle is selffulness. It is my favourite new word. We all need to make more time to be selfful, because if we don't we become resentful. Don't give up your yoga or any of the other things that give you pleasure and help you relax. If you do, then you will end up as depressed as your dh and you won't be of any help to anyone!!

Have a goo day!!!

Mornin'

Okay, gotta make the rest of this post quick because it's 9am and I'm having coffee with a friend at 9:30 and I haven't even showered yet. Then I've got to get back and head for lunch at 11 downtown and come home from there and get the house set up for dinner tonight! Sheesh! I'm glad this is the last crazy day around here! FIL threw the lunch thing into my plans when we were at dinner last night and it's one of those that I can't really refuse!

On the bright side, our family seems a bit better today! I know my head is 80% better. Just a cough hanging on, but I'll take any improvement I can get! Rhonda, I'm on my second big pack of Fisherman's Friend. They are the only thing that seems to work. If this cough doesn't let up soon, I'll be resorting to Buckley's. UGH!

Extremely thankful that colds and flus go away!!! Thankful for this great board. Thankful for my sister and all of my family.

Have a great one my friends. I'll try and post later when everyone has gone!~

Oh, no, 2 sick guys in the house and no thermometer (LOL don't know if I spelled it right)! Good luck! How come men turn into such babies when they are sick? Can't figure out that one unless you consider what everyone says...when a guy marries, he wants a mom.

I hear you about the exercise and a bag of chips to help you through the day. That really sounds good to me too. You really did a lot yesterday and you are planning alot today. Take it easy, girl!!

Hugs

You got me so into thinking about lime green, I just had to use it as a color again. I can't believe it is afternoon already and I am just getting to post. I have alot of cooking to do today since I bought a lot of fresh fruit and veggies and meat again today. I want to have some good eats cooked ahead. I am thinking of making no fry eggplant parmesean for dinner. It is alot of work and will heat up the kitchen, but it is worth it. I also have a whole chicken in the crockpot cooking. I never did that before but I saw Susan Sommers do it on HSN and it looked so good.

I had a good exercise/eating day yesterday. The first in a long time and I feel so thankful for that. I have been feeling so down about not been able to stick to a healthy lifestyle for awhile now and I feel rejuvenated that I actually did it and can do it again today. I had a good uplanned workout today. I got to the gym early before I had to teach and I did the elliptical for 25 minutes. Then I ended up teaching Pilates since only 2 people showed up and that is what they wanted. I aim to please! Not many showing up at the gyms since it is the last week of school here and the moms have not been coming.

Anyway...getting really excited about the Asheville trip since we are talking about airline reservations. We are really going to do this!!!!!!!!!!!! Yippeee!!!

I will try to post to you. But, I don't know how far I will get since I do have to start cooking! Have a super thankful Thursday.
