Things in perspective....

I'm still tired, and lethargic, though no longer grouchy (too brain dead, I think). But wow. We were discussing the PDL chapters on relationships today at Bible Study. I shared about the hurt I had with my parents earlier this year, and while it's not as I wish it could be, God's given me grace. Then "K" shared; her parents divorced when she was 3, and for 13 years prior to last year had no relationship with her father. She began reaching out to him, and they're slowly reconciling. Meanwhile "G" is having some serious marital problems, and is hurting deeply - she broke down and cried on several shoulders ... we can only offer support and our shoulders while longing to help her fix her marriage (which we can't).
It just really puts things in perspective. I came away thankful for the parental relationships I do have, and also for the blessing of a good marriage. It really makes my "problems" seem small by comparison.

My greatest fear is that there is no PMS and this is my personality.

Linda,
I think that sometimes we spend so much time focusing on what is wrong or missing that we don't see what we do have that is positive.
