How has your Friday gone? Has it worked out the way you'd planned, or did you get thrown some curves? Tell us about it.

It was 102 when I was out about an hour ago, and it feels it. No storms yet for relief. Normally, it wouldn't bother me, but I feel it more with the cold. Sure wish I could mow.

Mom and I had a nice time at the outlet malls today. She was able to find a pair of heels and a blouse she needed, so it was productive. We ate at the food court, then headed back about mid-afternoon. Rob needed me to run him to a friend's house to spend the night, then I did some errands.

Mom convinced me to call for a dr. appt. The first one I can get is Monday at 8:45 AM. It will be to a new dr. that she and Dad and Lisa all rave about, and he is pretty far, so I'll have to head out early. I'm hearing and feeling some wheezing, so it may be bronchitis or mild asthma. I hope it doesn't get worse before then. After being on the run today, I'm going to go lie down a while.

Has anyone else gotten their travel plans for Asheville squared away? I have to admit that's a relief. With that being their peak season, flights for Asheville really are booking up fast.

Hope everyone has had a wonderful day!

Rhonda

Such a loooooooooooooooong day! Had plenty to do-just bored of doing it! Looked at the clock and couldn't believe it was only 3:30. I've had too much sugar, too much caffeine and am definitely feeling the after effects of both. Not a particularly healthy dinner planned either with take out on the agenda! The thunderheads are moving in so probably won't get a walk in with the dog either. Not sure I feel like doing much of anything since it's already going on 7PM and we're still trying to decide what to eat. I went grocery shopping and definitely tried to stay clear of the cookie and candy aisle and a lot more time in the produce section! I did stock up on plenty of fruits and veggies just have to make sure that's what I eat. Eating has definitely been an issue the last few days...not sure why...just is! That's it for me.

Rhonda, glad you're going to the dr.Just wish it could be sooner.

Pretty good day here.Changed my work schedule around and headed to the track early this morning.Got a good run in. Came home and worked in CL. Came out of one house to find not one but two service guys on the farm.A guy I had as a service person about 5 yrs ago is coming back. He was a real sweetie. One curve thrown me is that I'm getting a new service guy again!I'm so tired of changing service people. The guy I'm getting is new to the company(but not the business) and won't start for a few weeks. In the meantime I work with a substitute. What's a girl got to do to get George Clonney on her farm?????

We had a storm come thru which is suppose to bring nice weather for the next few days.Looking forward to that.A new bathing suit I ordered came today.I dreaded trying it on but it's not bad. As usual , however, I fill the bottom out better than the top!

We're headed to our Chick Flick Movie Night this coming Tuesday, going to see Notebook, are you seeing it this weekend??

All going well, did Jazzercise this am, way too long sitting with friends in the sun at Starbucks, did my shopping, made my chili verde, then went to help my friend get her daughter ready for a dance recital.

Nada, work-out wise. My friend dropped by in the morning, we had a great time chatting, and the kids enjoyed playing. I did NOT forget Al's gymnastics summer camp! The presentation was fun, and the girls all really made progress. Plus they had loads of fun. Allison's cart wheels are looking good - she's getting her legs up over her head, and she's working on straightening them out. I never could do a cart wheel when I was a kid, so I'm happy for Allison. She doesn't have to be #1 for me in any organized activity (I never was!) - I just want her to try her best and to understand that staying active can be fun.

Sub sandwiches last night, and we vegged out afterwards.
