Good Morning,

It's so gray and gloomy this morning. Saturday is my usual go outside and take a walk day but I found myself wandering through the house in my pj's doing everything but getting ready to take a walk. It was one of those mornings where I needed someone come and ring my doorbell and say get your sneakers on we're talking a walk. I do wish I had someone to do that with. Anyway just couldn't figure out if and/or what I wanted to do this morning. It's been since Tuesday since I did any type of workout and my eating has been so out of control. I finally decided on a WATP video as I can put as much or as little effort into the tape. It ended up that I worked up a good sweat and was happy that I had decided put some umption into the gumption this morning.

I'm really not sure what else is on the agenda nor how much energy there is for the agenda. DS has grumpily left the house to return to work after his week long vacation but has left bits and pieces of the vacation all through the house. Just like last week I'm just really not into picking up everyone's debris so thinking of just working around it. I do know the refrigerator is bursting at the seams but it's not because of all the groceries I bought yesterday it's more like I haven't cleaned out the science 101 projecte out of there. So before they become some other life form if they're not already I think that will be a project for today.

DD and I sat and sorted through pictures last night. I have multiple copies of all sorts of school pictures and it was time to weed through them. Her suggestion was that I keep 2 copies of each set of pictures and dump the rest. It seems kind of sad just to throw them out but what does one do with all these duplicate pictures.

Older DD got a wonderful phone call this morning from her principal. Apparently she's been on the phone for 2 days straight and has assured my DD that a position is there for her come the fall. We don't know how many of the other positions have been managed to be saved but apparently she's doing everything she can. That was very good news for the day.

I guess I best better get started with my day and figure out exactly what I'm going to do with it. Hope you all have a wonderful day and that a big Saturday Smile is on your face!

I just got back from the beauty shop.

Had the works: a leg and bikini wax, facial, hair color and cut. Alex took a picture (of the hair-style) so I can post it later for you ladies to see. It's "rossissimo". very very VERY red. And a fun, easy cut. Similar to what I've had before but she did a really nice job with it.

I pretty much spent the morning/early afternoon there (4 hours) and then bought a pair of sandals on my way home. I feel so decadent spending so much time on myself like that... But, seeing Alex's reaction, it was worth it. He said "okay, that was worth the time and money."

The rest of this weekend will be getting the house ready for me to leave for a month and a half. I'm flying out on Tuesday morning (training down to Milano at 4am, then flying to London, staying a night there in a hostel, and flying to Minneapolis on Wednesday), then staying in Minneapolis until the wedding. The following week we'll be at an annual computer conference in Portland, OR, then fly back to Italia the beginning of August and drive up to the Alps for our honeymoon.

I am so excited! and scared. I feel like there are a million and one things I haven't done, but, I suspect that things will happen anyway.

I'll try to keep in contact a couple more times before I fly. Next weekend is a science fiction convention I'm attending with my kids.

So, if I'm not around much, that's why...

half-heimers??? I love it! I've got that too!

I hope that step workout is nice and energizing for you and that the weather clears up so you can use the pool soon!

Birds are singing (and bathing in the backyard sprinkler), Eric's cutting up a pineapple, I just had a soy patty on english muffin...life is good.

Off to a Jazzercise demo in a bit for Relay for Life...then no plans :o)...then taking my friend Jacob (5) and his aunt to see his sister and mom tonight perform in dance recital.

Well, my PLAN is to run here shortly. It's cloudy, slight drizzle on and off, which means HUMID, but on the other hand, the sun isn't beating down. I need to get a b'day gift for my dad and have no idea what to get him. I'll be calling mom.

Steaks on the grill tonight!

Good for you on working out! Isn't it great how, once you're started, it just feels right!

Great news for your dd. I know a lot of schools are having it tough right now.

Hey - glad to hear you're feeling better. Hope things keep up. But, PLEASE, if you have the slightest hint of it coming back or *any* pain or fever, get your butt in to that doctor. okay?

Have fun at your demo and at the dance recital with Jacob.
