Good Morning,

What a nice post to start my Sunday with. I, too, enjoy the diversity of everyone here. How different my lifestyle is here in the burbs compared with others in different parts of the country.

Not sure what I have on the agenda today. I'm not sure where yesterday went...got involved with DD and a project and found myself doing more weeding out and purging. It certainly does seem endless and wonder where and how we accumulated so much "stuff". I'm making progress but it sure takes time and unfortunately the house is in a sad state of neglect. It's a decision between staying with the project or trying to play catch up around here. Meanwhile it's an absolutely beautiful day out and would love to be spending time outside. Balance is certainly a difficult thing to find sometimes. Just not sure what the day will hold.

Nancy this was a very nice post. Thanks for starting my day off with a smile! I hope you enjoy all you do today. Yes, you do live ina beautiful area. The midwest is FULL of beauty all year round, no matter the season, theres always a change in beauty that amazes the eye.

Today is a strange day for me because its a happy one and yet a very sad one. Happy because today my grandson-to-be is due to arrive! Dil thinks it isn't to happen for another couple of days though. Please remember her, ds, and grandson-to-be in your daily thoughts and prayers this week. But this evening will be a sad sort of way to end my day. A dear HS classmate of mine died after a 26 year long battle with cancer and tonite is the visitation. I had been visiting with him along with four other of my HS girlfriends for the past 6 to 12 months lately and am SO glad we had. He was a wonderful man with a great outlook on life. He would always say when asked "how are you", "Well, I was given 5 years to live 26 years ago and have out lived that by .... years and for that I am ever so grateful to God". Yeah, a good good man who will be missed terribly.

Tweety, I'm so sorry to hear about your friend. What a wonderful attitude he had, and he was really blessed to have lived so long after given only 5 years. I hope a lot of that time was good quality. I've found that battling cancer and other serious diseases often brings out the best in people. I know my BIL really blossomed in other ways after he became ill, and I admired him so much. It was good that you and other friends were able to stay in touch with this man to brighten his days.

On the other hand, the cycle of life continues with a new one entering the world soon. How exciting to be expecting your first grandchild!! Boy, will your life change again. I don't have

Nancy, thanks for the lovely start to our day!

It'll be a quiet day around here. We had thought we might go to the beach early, but with the way the surf and the tides are, it would really be better for me to go this evening, if it isn't storming. I think more storms are predicted later though. Until then, it'll be sunny and hot.

Tim is still resting since we watched "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" late. It was a cute movie. After that I read until really late. I'm trying to catch up on the stack of books I have and more are coming out all the time. I have GOT to read Michael Moore is a Big, Fat, Stupid, White Man, which is sort of a rebuttal to his book with a similar title and

Good luck with the purging. It seems to be an ongoing thing to keep from being buried under all the stuff we acquire. I need to do some of that myself.

Hi there----did I post yesterday?

No Jazzercise class, we did a Jazzercise Demo at the Relay for Life.

Good Sunday afternoon! Started the day with jumping out of bed at 7:30 to get to the 8:30 Mass. It is my enforced quiet time to think about my blessings and give thanks for them. (This Mass is a quiet one since it is early for most families with young children.) Using today as

It is an unbelievable day today! Yesterday was such a mixed bag of changing weather. What a downpour we got here...twice! Our poor friends who had graduation outside were drenched and they kept going even in the rain. I wonder how many will be sick with summer colds after that!

I hope I get the purge urge here. The vets are picking up stuff on Thursday and I hope to get rid of a lot of stuff that someone else can use. I find cleaning out is as good as cleaning but I get an even better feeling about it because the results can be really seen.

Hope you get to enjoy some of the day outside today.

Hello, Tweety! How exciting that your first grandchild is practically hours away from arriving. Can't wait to hear all the details after the birth!

It is a bittersweet time for you. Sorry about your friend and what a good friend you are to visit all this time and give your love and support. Life always seems to be that way...one leaves so another can arrive.

Nice to see you

Hi, Rhonda! The surf always seems to get rough when there are storms predicted. Don't want to be in the ocean around here before a storm that is traveling up the coast. Hope you don't too many storms.
