Start of a new week, and often we think of it as an opportunity to get the week started on the right foot. I've found that starting the week off on a good note can carry me through several days. I'm ready to commit this day to doing a few positive things for my family and for myself - are you?
So, what'll your workout be? Any 15-minute project? Anything you need to accomplish today?
109 days 'til Asheville!

Not exactly on a mission, and not planning on having to slay any more dragons for a few days, so I thought I'd post over here!
Going to keep the workouts light - no free weight work for UB for a few days, but I'm gonna give the weight bench a shot and see what I can do with that. Cardio and LB work for sure, though. Eating - gee, not planning much cooking until the end of the week. We'll be finishing up leftovers and making room in the fridge for food for July 4th cookout we're planning for the family. DH already looked ahead at the forecast for Sunday - can you spell RAIN? We don't have many cookouts, but the last time we did it decided to rain upon us then, also. Am I supposed to be getting a message?
Need to preserve thumb strength for the paying job. I'll check in throughout the day.
Have a good one!

Glad you got a support glove for your thumb. Thinking back, it was my right thumb instead of my left that always got hurt. It was my catching hand. Anyway, I know it takes a while to heal, so I think you're wise to take it easy with it and hope it improves steadily.
Your cookouts sound like my trips to the grocery store or washing the car. I've always said they're as good as a rain dance. Hope this weekend will be the exception for you.

I really have to get my butt in gear or I will not be FOF and embarrass all of you in Asheville!
Yes...starting the week off well always helps for a couple of days. Just have to keep the negativity away!
We definitely have to get the guest room ready today or tomorrow. Have to get DD and her fiance to clear it out for the company coming.

The weather has been gloomy and rainy out here. I usually take it easy (housecleaning-wise) - just do what I have to and any spare time from my two jobs and ds' baseball, I use to read more inspirational things than usual. I love to read when it's raining. Lately, I've been reading "Calm My Anxious Heart" by Linda Dillow (which includes a 12-week Bible study), still doing the "Power of the Praying Woman", "Carolina" a Christian fiction book with 4 novellas about women who live in the Blue Ridge Mountains, and "Nighttime is My Time" by Carol Higgins Clark (have to have a little suspense thrown in there!). Yesterday, I watched some of the TV evangelists as I just wasn't in the mood to go to my church (long story), but one of them, who is from Tennessee, Dr. Adrian Rogers, has a set of cd's I want to get: "Unwrapping Your Spiritual Gift". His sermon was on part of this subject & I found it very uplifting and interesting. I WISH I could find a church who had really "meaty" sermons like the ones I hear from him, Dr. Charles Stanley, and Dr. Gerald Mann from Austin, TX. I'll keep looking though - I'm not giving up!
Went shopping and found some fuschia sandals with flowers on them & with the cutsie high heel to go with the fuschia capri outfit I have. Also found a cute lime capri set. It is so nice to be able to wear these at Steinmart & be comfortable now!
I'm checking for flights out of Dallas to Newark sometime this fall - I haven't visited my mom since May 2001. It's amazing the price differences!
So how is everyone here? Is your week going to be a great week for workouts and eating? I'm really determined mine will be! I've stocked up on good things to eat and drink and gotten rid of the temptations! If you are able, go out and buy an item of clothing or an accessory to go with clothes to keep up the momentum - it really helps me!
Nancy, I will send you some good eating and exercise thoughts - beaming them up now! You can do it! Booty, great job on having bought your healthy foods and looking for new cardio ideas.
Everyone, have a great Monday!
