Sorry Lori. You have me curious too about that. Can the pharmasist really do that? Katie is on blood pressure medicine for her heart and they finally came out with a generic. Big difference in the cost.......$50 a month co-pay verses $10 a month co-pay. Problem is each time we go the pill looks different. I am always careful and I watch when she takes the meds to make sure there is no problem but what if there were. Just becareful and pump some extra fluid into you. Keep us posted on what the doc says.
How long since you switched pills? This could be exactly why you've been feeling so lousy. And if they are causing you to retain fluid , couldn't they be causing some joint pain too?I didn't think a pharmacist could switch unless it was indicated on the prescription.I don't buy that"exactly the same" thing they say.I think with a generic there can be some degree of difference. And if your body is reacting differently then obviously it doesn't think they are exactly the same.
What a hassle for you.Hope you get things straightened out soon.
I often wonder about the generic drugs. Under our prescription plan the prescription has to be filled generically unless there isn't one or the dr specially says not to and then we pay the higher copay. But I don't think I would feel comfortable having the pharmacist randomly making that decision for me. Hope your workup comes out OK. Maybe some of your problems of late can be related?
