Sprains are definitely very tender and can take longer to heal than breaks. An actual sprain is a tear in a ligament. Because I played sports, I've had them a bunch of times, but it never gets any

Yesterday was beautiful and today should be too, but I'm stuck mostly inside and not happy about it. I think I notice some improvement this morning. I have been getting in more reading to catch up on the stack of books I have, but every day I see another one I'd like to read. Recently, Unfounded Loyalty by a black minister and another book by a former under secretary of defense came to my attention. Wish I could just put them to my forehead and absorb them all.

Nothing exciting happening here, so far. Just trying to get well, so I can make it to my two meetings tomorrow.

Have a good day everybody!

Good morning ladies.

First day of summer vacation in our house. I didn't roll out of bed until 7:45 this morning. The weather is excellent. Mid 70s- 80, with a beautiful soft breeze.

We had a pretty laid back day yesterday. Picked up Adam and his "girlfriend" for a playdate after the last day of kindergarten. As it's now popsicle weather here, it's also sticky kitchen floor weather! So, on the agenda today is a good scrubbing of the horizontal surfaces!

My eating has been okay. Not great, but not absolutely terrible either. Exercise, on the other hand, has been virtually non-existant. Unless you count chasing kids.

Tomorrow is a national holiday here. Our country is celebrating it's 137th birthday, so we will be having a nice family day and heading down to the Inner Harbour for some fireworks after dark.

It sure is nice to be back on the road to healthy. I'm finding a lot of enthusasim for house projects. The upholstery on our kitchen chairs is starting to wear through, so I'm in the process of making some nifty slipcovers (you know the ones with ties in the back). They are surprisingly easy to make and don't take nearly as much fabric as I had thought, so I think I may have to make a few more sets. I just re-caulked the bathtub and am planning on picking up a can of paint to repaint the white wainscotting in our bathroom. That should freshen it up totally.

Yesterday, I copied all of the markings on the front closet door jamb where we've been measuring the boys' height since they were born. I plan on painting the closet, but don't want to lose that info, so I'll put it all back when the painting is complete. There is a bank commercial (for mortgages) that we have in Canada where the family is moving to a new house and the wife stands looking at the door jamb where the children's heights are measured, not wanting to leave it behind. Cut to them entering their new house and dh has removed the door jamb from the old house and installed it in the new house for dw! Sounds hoakey, but it's really quite touching. I even went so far as to buy the cd that has the theme music (Dido). So, maybe I'll play it when I paint my door jamb! LOL

Off to scrub my house, so I can relax and enjoy the birthday party tomorrow! Have a great day ladies.

Yes---that's what I wore to my Spinning classes last year---the padding makes a difference (even though I have more than ample natural padding LOL)...Haven't see the Tad Hamilton movie, and the actress in the movie last night reminded me of an even younger Jennifer Garner.

I have a lot of natural padding in that area too, but unfortunately, it seems to move to the sides or something when I put pressure on the bike seat. The sitz bones still got really sore at first.

Kate Bosworth was the lead female (blonde, also in Blue Crush) in the movie. I think she's a lot prettier than Jennifer Garner, but I loved Jennifer in her last movie where she was supposed to be 13 but looked like an adult. Her female co-star had dark hair, but I can't remember her name. She was in that Julia Roberts' movie where Julia was a school teacher.
