How did your day go? Was it wild, or wonderful or maybe a little bit of both? Were Workouts and good eating a part of your day? Or perhaps a nice relaxing sit back and smell the roses kind of day? Rhonda I hope this day found you feeling a little better and that you're taking it easy.

I walked right into a hornets nest this morning. Much to much testerone flying about and apparently the estrogen levels were too since there was a bit of a verbal chick fight. Poor part time girl was sitting between the two of them ducking for cover and I gladly took a pile of the dreaded filing and headed for the file room to keep out of the line of fire! Tension was a bit steep to say the least. But the day is over and mighty glad of it. DH's doctor called and said the dr was running about an hour behind schedule which I guess is a good thing so we're not sitting around the office for an extra hour. Hope when we do get there it's not a long wait since DH is very anxious to get this over with. Not planning on a workout this evening but since I'm off tomorrow I'll be able to get something in tomorrow AM. Eating has been good, water consumption not so great but all in all a pretty good day.

Hope yours has been a good one!

I live in Longview, TX which is in E. Texas - 1 hour away from Shreveport, LA, 2 1/2 hrs. away from Dallas & about 3 hrs. away from Joel Osteen's church in Houston!

She's very welcome! I bet she will enjoy hearing Pastor Joel!

Some days I do well in fitness, and others I don't - it's a struggle.

OK, now I remember, of course. For some reason, I was thinking Coldspring or Cold Springs. I think my friend used to live in Coldspring before she moved back to Florida near Tampa.

No wild wednesday here, darn it!Today I got my run in before anything else and I really enjoyed it.Later went to the track for a walk with my sister. The rest of the day was all about chickens and yard work.I thought about housework but thinking about it was as far as I got.

Food!I just can't get it together there. This is getting frustrating.I do ok but not what I need to do to see any results.I think I need to write out a menu for a day and really stick to it.Then do that the next day and the next and...At least I have narrowed down my problem time.It appears to be between 10 am and 10 pm :)

Poor Rob.I can only imagine how he felt when this woman jumps all over him with his friends there. And to hear from others that she has made comments about him is terrible. It will be interesting to see how she responds to the letter.Should have let the steroids kick in and then let her have it ;)

Been scarce! Took Allison to a movie yesterday morning (free matinee, "Charlotte's Web" - charming!), then ate lunch with a friend. In the afternoon was a puppet workshop for her at the library where she made 3 different types of puppets. So I played Mommy for a good bit of the day! I finally got a run in after dinner in a light rain (no lightning or thunder, so safe) - 3.2 miles in a little over 31 minutes. I ran hard on some short stretches.

Eating... I don't wanna talk about it, LOL! Tuesday we ate out with a vendor who calls on The Cus - top restaurant in town. Had the seafood grill mix, and HAD to do dessert! I did NOT exercise on Tuesday. Yesterday, a slice of pizza for lunch. That's why I insisted on a run, even though it was raining.

Time for me to refocus!

A little late in my postings, but it's been a bizzzyyy morning, so I had to keep my head down to keep the BG in the CO away from me....

Workout was ok Wednesday night - treadmill for almost 3 miles, a few LB exercise with weights. Eating - well, let's just say goodies got the best of me. I ate very healthy meals and surrounded them with a couple of really delicious/unhealthy snacks. Like a Haagen Daz ice cream bar. Tasty. And a Fourbucks (literally!) grande double-chocolate-chip blended cream with a shot of peppermint syrup (not sugar free!). Very yummy, but oh soooooo bad..... Since I can call Fourbucks that name now and really mean it should keep me from making that yummy drink a habit.

Rhonda, it's good to know that you have a child with the kind of character that you can be proud of and go to bat for. I'll bet Rob is relieved to have you try to get that unhappy, jealous woman off his back. I wonder how much of what you had to say to her will take. You can only hope that her kids won't start losing friends as a result of her behavior and that she'll wake up and realize she's a big part of the problem. Sad to say, she probably won't if she's already in the habit of playing poor me.

Thanks for your kind comments about Rob. I feel sorry for the woman's son, because for YEARS people have held back from doing things with him because of his mother. It wasn't as bad when she was married, but she was still annoying. I saw other people already distancing themselves after a while, and I had to fight my eyes glazing over when she talked to me. Once her husband left, she just really went out of control. Her daughter was a dean's list student at one of the 2 toughest private schools in the city and very popular. Rob told me the son told him she'd put on her questionnaire about colleges that she wanted to go "over 500 miles from home." That should tell you something. They're also huge Gator fans, so she wound up going to UF, which is only a little over an hour from here, but at least she's away from home and doesn't have to listen to her mother badmouth her father constantly. I'm sure she'll feel victimized, but at this point, I don't care any more. Rob's wellbeing definitely comes first.
