~!~POSITIVELY THANKFUL THURSDAY~!~

OK -- It's that time again where we put the slings and arrows of the week behind us temporarily and focus on the wonderfully positive things we have to be thankful for. Sometimes it's harder than others, but if we really think about it, there's an awful lot for each and every one of us.

So, in that vein, what comes to mind for each of you to be truly thankful for? Is it something major or just something tiny that many people tend to take for granted? Is it a fleeting thing or something with long term effects? Did you do anything to contribute to it to make your life or someone else's

Good Morning,

It is another beautiful day weather wise and the beginning of a nice long weekend! Enjoyed a nice leisurely breakfast this morning and now thinking about what I will do for a workout. After that decision has been made and that mission accomplished it will be a shower and planning on going to the mall and see what kind of sales are going on. I have a dr's appt at 2:30 with a new gyn and knowing how dr's office hours run that will probably be the afternoon.

Thankful this morning for the absolutely beautiful weather we've been having. Thankful that DH finally got this test over and done with. Thankful for vacation days. Thankful for my little patches of dirt and my flower pots that are just brimming with beautiful flowers.

That's my day, no dragons to slay nor the world to conquer just a day of doing whatever I feel like doing!

Hope that you enjoy a positively thankful Thursday!

Good morning everybody!

I"m going to make each and every one of you my very first thankful this morning! I am so happy to have the board to come to for friendship, support, ideas, humor, and all the other great things you women provide on a daily basis. I'm really grateful, and here's to you!

I'm thankful for medicines and bed rest and that I'm starting to see some improvement in my condition. I still have a way to go, but I can see progress.

Thankful for the beautiful weather we're having and the nice rain shower we had during the night to help out the lawn and flowers.

Thankful that Dad is having the arteries of his kidneys checked tomorrow finally and if there's a blockage, it will be corrected. His blood pressure has been dangerously high and continues to be this morning. He is up in the stroke range, so I would really appreciate prayers for him. If it is too high tomorrow morning, they won't be able to do the test.

Thankful that I get to get out today for the Republican Women's Club meeting and the meeting afterward for my friend. I hope I won't cough.

And, as always, so thankful for my family!

Have a postively wonderful Thursday!

Rhonda

Hello ladies, yesterday was the funeral. Sad but at least the weather was nice. Good to see her family come back to the house. Today was a little more relaxed and our weather is just great.

My forever thankfuls are my family. Even though they drive me crazy and do not understand me sometimes they do love me. I am thankful for my sisters being who they are. I am thankful for the friends I have in Maria and Helen and I treasure that and realize how important they are to me today as much as yesterday. I miss not having them in my life daily! I am also thankful for having a job, which I think keeps me sane.

First and foremost this morning, thankful for my wonderful loving husband! I wish we had more time to just connect with one another (without distractions of chores, tasks, a little kid and pursuing our own leisure activities), but I'm so glad for the time we have.

I'm thankful for the upcoming long weekend at MIL's house, and thankful to live in America. I'm thankful for spiritual growth, and learning about the patience in that! I'm thankful for my online friendships, as much as I am for my face-to-face friendships - they are both valuable in their own unique ways. And I'm thankful for the health to be able to run.

Today. Had Bible study this morning, stopped off at a consignment shop where I had a little bit on credit which I used to get Allison some casual but still appropriate school clothes. On the agenda, cleaning bathrooms, working out, starting to pack. Allison would like to go to the pool, so maybe after working out we can do that. I'm thinking of a little cardio, coupled with UB work and abs. Having run hard a couple of times yesterday, I feel like I'm okay on leg work right now!

I am positive that it's Thursday and that I have reasons to be thankful ---

For DH. Funny and wonderful how he puts up with me and my moods - and loves me anyway and thinks I'm the smartest chick on the farm no matter how badly I gum up the checkbook or misread the train schedule!

For friends near and far, and cyber. Funny how they're there when you need them most.

For long weekends. Funny how they also come about just when you need them most.

For fresh summer fruits and veggies. For summer. For all seasons.

For free will - especially to walk right past all those Fourbucks on the way home!

And for when my free will fails, for the health and ability to exercise.

This weekend is my niece's turn to sleep over. Can't wait to have her! And it'll be fun to have everyone over on Sunday to celebrate our country's birthday. Although I'm not certain that watching the Boston Pops is going to be the usual uplifting experience - yes, the Pops orchestra and Keith Lockhart, Jennifer Holliday, and even the new woman who was discovered in a Pops talent contest recently will be wonderful, but DAVID LEE ROTH? Please. Add another thankful - for remote controls!

Susan - Hope your DH's tests prove negative, or at least less confounding than they have.

Nancy - You have many reasons to be thankful, for certain. I'm glad all those people you love are still close at hand.

Rhonda - Prayers for your dad. I hope this new test proves fruitful.

Cussette - Hoping you have more quality time with DH soon.
