Super Duper Ally Ooper Saturday

I remember the first time Lori posted that phrase. As soon as I read it , it lifted my spirits.Made me smile all day just thinking about it.I loved coming to the board yesterday.Seeing that tulips had posted, tweety sharing her news of her run and her grandson.Hearing from Rhonda that her Dad is on the road to better health. Now everytime I see a post from Nancy, Annie always goes thru my mind.Annie, who gives a whole new meaning to eating "light".(couldn't resist!)I thought about Susan(bnl) who has had so much going on and was hoping she was enjoying her time off.Think about Donna and her sleepovers and was also happy to see she got off alittle early.Even on days when someone doesn't post they run thru my mind. How incredible to be able to sit at my computer and hear from women all over.I talk about you all so much that my sisters don't even consider it strange anymore to talk about women I've never met like they are my closests friends! They do , however, still shake their heads when I say my chickens talk to me :)

So what's up with everyone this Saturday?Who's doing what? Are you having great weather? It's a quiet day on the farm for this chick so liven it up for me :)

Have a super duper ally ooper day!!!!

I'm heading out to bond with my birds and then go for a run.At some point today I plan to get in my pool.I don't care if I have to take the chickens with me!I looked around the house yesterday and realized I really need to clean. So today I will stay outside so I won't be reminded of that!!!!!I've decide to make today a lazy day of summer.

I like the way you think! Maybe that's why I like to work in the yard so much. ;-)

Well even though you did not mention me by name I will go ahead and post my plans for the day................Our weather is beautiful. We had a thunder storm come through last night and it seems to have knocked some of the humidity out. As you know I felt it was a stressful week with my friends dad passing away, ending my job with Steve (1 more week to go), and lack of understanding from my family. My eatting was not at its best and there was no exercise done, what so ever. Making matters worse on Thursday night Bill and I had a fight as we were getting into bed and I grabbed my pillows and slept down stairs on the couch. Well yesterday at work I got pink, long stem roses delivered to work..........guess who sent them? I called him to say thanks and he said he was sorry and has been a real idiot these last few days. To which I agreed very quickly. He asked if we could go to dinner but I explained I already had plans. I am sure he was surprised but he did not question, just said we would see each other later tonight. I had Maria and her mom meet us at the barn and they watch Katie ride for her lesson. Maria's mom was very excited about going and had asked Maria several times "what time is Katies lesson?" After the lesson we went to the diner and had some lobster bisque soup and a salad. Came back home to my house and sat out on the back patio and enjoyed some tea. They left around 10 and Bill and Robbie got home around 10:30. Kids went to bed and Bill and I talked. He left this morning with Robbie to head to NJ to pick up a motor for the race car and they should be home around noon.

I rented last week 2 video's and I need to return them today. I am going to change into my shorts and view them now. One was the Denise Austin Ab's video and another about lifting weights. I will try to renew them for another week. The week was too crazy so they sat on my shelf. I have a block party tonight at my sisters house and Katie and I are heading over there around 3 or 4. I need to get my nails done today they are almost 2 weeks over due and my piggy toes are looking kind of shabby. Might get them done before the block party. I was supposed to make Macaroni Salad but I might cheat and just buy some from the deli.

Well lovely ladies, I hope you all enjoy your holiday weekend. Do not eat too much!

Good Morning

A little late getting to the computer this morning but wanted to do a quick run to Costco and definitely wanted to get there when the doors opened this morning. Got some fixins for a bbq tomorrow. It will probably just be DH and myself and oldest DD and her BF and maybe DS-never quite sure where he's going to be these days.

It is absolutely beautiful here today after some heavy rain and t-storms came through last evening. I got out for a 3 mile walk this morning and it was wonderful.

I guess a return to the domestic life should be crossing my mind-but like Patty I just want to enjoy the sunshine and beautiful weather. I had stopped into work yesterday only for the fact that my wallet was dry and needed my check. The boss'wife who is our bookkeeper mentioned how relaxed I looked and that's exactly how I feel. I haven't felt this good in a long time in spite of the what ifs. But as I said those are in the back of mind and I fully intend to enjoy the day. I actually can't do much housework as we're having someone in to sheetrock our living room walls and ceiling starting a week from Monday. So we need to pack up the belongings and figure out what the heck we're going to do with the furniture. I'm tempted to throw out the couch and loveseat and still might do that--but things happening with DH's job are making me thing twice about it. Anyway as part of the price we got we do the demolition of ripping off the ugly existing paneling and hideous suspended ceiling. As much as I hate the mess and upheaval I'm really looking forward to having this done! It's been 13 years coming!

Anyway, I'm now off to do a much needed grocery shopping and then just going to see how the rest of the day shapes up! Hope your day shapes up to A Super Duper Alley Ooper kind of day!

Rhonda,

Glad to hear that your dad was able to go through the test and procedure. Hope this answers a lot of questions about his bp. Hope his reports continue to show improving health and that he'll be back home today. I will continue to keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks, Susan. I just talked to him on the phone, and he sounded good. Mom updated me on his BP readings from this morning, and they are better already. The dr. did say it would probably take 2-3 weeks to know how much improvement he will see. At least they are already cutting out one of the meds that was causing unpleasant side effects such as a rapid heartbeat. Mom was leaving to go get him about 10. He was eager to get home, as usual. You guys have been so supportive and just great.

Hugs,

Rhonda

You had quite a week, Deb! I'm glad your husband saw the error of his ways and is trying to make up for it. Better late than never. It sounds as though things are getting better and you have some fun things to look forward to, so I'm happy for you.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday.

Hugs,

Rhonda

You sound so good today! That's wonderful! I hope you're taking before and after pix of your living room. Sometimes we tend to forget just what a huge improvement has been made. Sounds very exciting, and I bet you can't wait for it to be finished.

Have a fantastic holiday!
