Happy 4th of July everyone! What have you got planned for your holiday? Will you be *free* of anything today (bad eating habits, stresses, etc.)? I'm going to make another attempt to eat healthier, not just to lose weight but to feel better. After being sick two weeks and doing some thinking about my health, the time seems to finally be right. I'm hoping that will lead to regular exercise again.

More than ever, I think about the meaning of today. We are so blessed to live in this nation, despite the problems we have. I can't think of anywhere I'd rather be.

Well, I was about to make my own "Happy Birthday, America" post after catching up on the board.

BEAUTIFUL! Thank-you so much for that. I'm going to print it out. Also, going to see if I can copy it and pass it along. I love it!

Good Afternoon!

I've been busy around here all morning and still in my pjs! Doing all my neglected household chores and cooking for the day and now will have the afternoon free to sit back and relax. DH and DS went in to see my MIL and SIL so DS could show off his pictures of his trip to Colorado. Nothing much on the agenda-DD and her BF will be here for a BBQ and nothing remotely resembling lowfat food is on the menu! We are again enjoying simply beautiful weather although a bit more humid today. We'll finally uncover the patio chairs and enjoy dinner outside and hope the bugs leave us alone long enough!

Hope you're all enjoying a great day!

Thanks Rhonda,

Ended my day yesterday with a tummy ache. To much food yesterday at my sisters block party. I at least had the smarts to stick with water. Today started off quiet and lazy. Both Bill and I were up at 8 so we sat outside on our front porch and had our morning tea and coffee while listening to the birds. Today my parents, Bill's parents, and our friends Dan & Pat are coming over for an informal get together. Took some chicken out and some ribs for the BBQ, I also made homemade macaroni salad, and will throw some bean in the pot. Nice and easy. So that is our plans. Hope you all have a quiet and enjoy your day. Happy 4th!!
