Way too much to eat today too! But what a nice day. Very relaxed and laid back. DD and I had a great game of Scrabble out on the patio-probably the first time ever that I beat her-she is an absolute wiz at the game. Her BF arrived later in the afternoon and he is definitely not a game player and we had a lot of fun with him over another game. We switched to cards and taught him how to play Crazy 8's. We laughed so hard. We had a nice dinner if I do say so myself and we finished up the day with the fireworks viewing via TV. Definitely need to get back on track tomorrow!
Well you got the OH MY part correct. Ate to much on Saturday night and was a gluten for punishment again yesterday. Had our parents over, our friends and I extended an invite to our neighbors thinking they won't come.........but they did. Their kids (ages 18 and 21 trailed over too), as did my son Billy and 4 of his friends, so it was a house full after all. The grandpa's went swimming with Katie and Bill even joined them for a little dip. We cooked the burgers, hot dogs, some chicken and some country style ribs. Along with the meat went the salads, potato, macaroni, cole slaw and tossed. Dessert was watermelon, a peaches and cream pie (double that oh my!), and some sherbert. We did some pina colada's too so by the time 10PM arrived my tummy was a hurting. Today just has to smart eatting.
Rhonda glad to hear how good dad is doing. I am sure that makes all of you feel better. I will contiue to keep him in my prayers.
Your shark teeth adventures sounds nice. I love just walking along the beach. We used to search for tiny shells on Sanibel Island, I miss that place. I could do it by the hours.
Susan we enjoy playing games too. But we do not do it often enough. Raining day here and that sounds like a good thing for Katie and I to do this afternoon. Some game time on our back patio, thanks for the idea. A quiet afternoon sounds great!
It sounds as though everyone is enjoying a pretty typical, laid back
