Are we celebrating? Did we do good today? Did we relax and enjoy the rest of our 3 day weekend? How and what did you do?

Well despite the humidity I did move my tushy if only for 15 minutes. I did half of the 30 minutes tape for WAP. So that was 1 mile. Not much but with this humity here it was better then nothing. Eating today was pretty good too. Had 2 scrambled eggs for breakfast with my morning tea. Just finished a bowl of salad, left over from yesterday. Had romain lettuce, mushrooms, cucumbers, red & yellow peppers, cherry tomatoes, and carotts. Nice and yummy. Going to the diner tonight instead of cooking and I always enjoy their tossed salad with grilled chicken ontop. Need to get more water into me this afternoon. Now I think I will read a little or relax with the boob tube.

I'm making good progress on the floors, with a nap in between, and getting lots of laundry done. Rob just got home, and as soon as he called another friend, he's been invited to go to their chalet in the NC mountains for a week starting next Thursday -- what a social butterfly!! Guess we'll run a few errands this afternoon. He'd asked me to save them until he got back so he could get another Tom Clancy book.

I've eaten well and taken my supplements, so I'm pleased. Scrubbing and carrying laundry has been my exercise.

How about you?

I've had a good day in spite of feeling like I'm in withdrawal. I've been very conscious of staying away from the sweets. It's amazing how much I was dipping in here and there and I know good and well those here and theres add up! I've been keeping an exercise journal for the past week or so and I'm now going to add a food journal to go with it. So that was my goal for the day and I've been successful thus far although still have to get through the afterdinner phase! DH has all the paneling down and the house is a disaster! It's going to stay this way until the guy gets here the beginning of next week and nothing I can do about it-at least I don't have to worry about housecleaning! I've been taking care of lots of laundry and the last load is in the dryer. I did 5 miles on the exercise bike this morning and then weights. As Deb said it's very warm and humid here and it makes me very tired and groggy so I've found myself power napping on and off. I'm also spotting again so just trying to take things slow and easy. I'm going to see what's left over from yesterday's bbq and that's going to be dinner this evening. I have a movie to watch but not sure as it's so hot upstairs but if DD doesn't get home until later I may just take advantage of her DVD player and her AC and watch it!

Hope you've had a good day!

I got a run in today and need to do some LB work.Other than that it's been CL work.I did run uptown to get some groceries.Just as I got thru checkout a huge rain came up.I waited for it to let up and headed out to my car.Just as I got there another downpour came thru. Then I got home where it had not rained at all!!DH was so disappointed that we weren't getting any rain.Well , halfway thru unloading the car we got the rain.I was drenched again!!DH said it was like the rain was following me.Great! He'll probably try to stick me out in the cornfield now!Even though there hasn't been a real holiday here with the chickens, I've enjoyed myself.I've had time to work, exercise, be with my family and best of all.....Hammock Time!

I AM celebrating, Deb! A day of restrained and healthy eating so far, and a good workout in which I used my weight machine AND 8# freeweights for UB work after almost 10 days of nothing. I tried to pick up the 10#ers, but just felt I couldn't get a proper grip with my right hand, so I dropped back to the 8#ers and added 2# worth of wrist weights. Success! Also did 36 min cardio and some solid LB work. It all felt great.

Going to get dinner on in a few minutes. Grilled salmon and steamed broccoli with a Bertucci's roll for me (Bertucci's makes amazing oven pizza, not to mention other wonderful things, and their rolls are to die for - Italian peasant style bread, delicious hot, and worth every nasty little carb!), and a side of chicken lo mein for DH. Dessert will be strawberries and blueberries without the cake/Jello/cream cheese filling surrounding them!

The rain finally stopped, but more nasty weather due in tonight. Thunder and lightning, and more heavy rain. Yuck.

Hope you all had a good day off and are ready to face tomorrow!

Had a good weekend - 3 days of science fiction convention. Lots of walking - mostly managed to get one decent meal a day... the rest was grab and go.

Met with my personal trainer for the first time today. He did lots of test things - everything from a step test to check my heartrate, to seeing how i do certain movements (like squats with a broomstick held overhead, and lunges on a straight line) to testing my balance (which he complimented me on) to bodyfat (27%), to flexibility testing (which was awful!). And pushups and situps.

Wednesday we'll do some actual weightlifting and between now and then I'm supposed to do some cardio and some stretching. Try to get over the tightness I get from sitting in airplane seats for too long and not doing my yoga for several days...

Good for you for dropping back to the 8# weights. The point is to feel fitter and better, not to hurt yourself overdoing it.
