I am in my late 40's and am planning on getting the
weight I gained 2.5 years ago off before I turn 50,
soon enough!
For the 30 years prior to that I was my normal
106 to 110 pounds, so as long as I am inching
toward that I think I'm doing good. Have been
losing about 1 pound a week since May 1.
I am only 5 feet 1 so I don't need much.
To do this, I've been working out 4 or 5 times
a week, and eating sensibly instead of going on
a diet. I've never been on a diet in my life because
I hear of too many failures.
In between all that are the days that I "eat" lol,
you know, the parties, the girl lunches etc etc.
Add to that my family of 4 kids and 5 grandkids and
the spouses and everyone else, a huge extended family,
makes for a wholotta eating lol!
Its a good thing that my slim husband will
eat whatever I put in front of him as he is interested
in protecting his health as well.
I hope to be here alot.
Hugs,
.

Eating the wrong foods is my downfall - I eat the right foods at dinner and often at lunch, but I add too many of the snacks and sweets. I've been exercising, so I know the eating is what has to change. Like you, I'm looking for moderation and better choices rather than a diet. But I'm also holding out for a reasonable goal too. I don't think I'll ever be the weight I was when I was 25, and I'm not sure that'd be a good weight for me (or I'd have to do the wrong things to get there).
Anyway, best of luck, and hope to see you here often!
