Hey there, thanks for asking. Actually this is my last week with Steve. Kind of sad about it and I will miss him as my boss. We leave for TN on Sunday night and on Monday 7/19 I start work for Tom. Actually he was waiting to speak with me this morning. He does the rounds each morning with the secretaries and goes over files. Today, he said "Deb, your turn". He is so flexible and is willing to go along with what works for me. I told him for the summer I want Fridays off, so I could have one full day home with the kids. He said fine to that. He has alot of stuff to organize and catch up on so he wants me to work Monday to Thursday 9 to 1. He is moving the file cabinets out of the main office and back into the other office, once Steve removes his things. He is going to put a forth desk in the front office for me and Nina (the afternoon part time, lady) to share. He is going to get us a phone on the desk and a new computer. Yippie. I will be in charge of all the accounts after they close, handles the final papers.......deeds, pending C/O's and all escrow follow ups. I will also work with Inge on her files and give her a hand with the mortgage companies and the brokers while she handles the clients, since many speak little or no English.

We discussed salary and he is going to put me on the books and agreed to give me the same salary that the other Attorney offered. So that made me feel good. I also send a letter to the other attorney, thanking him for the interview. I told him that I had thought it over and discussed it with my family that 5 days a week was too much at this time and that I had decided to remain employed with Tom. He called yesterday and we talked. He was so thankful for the letter and impressed that he would like to hold onto my resume for the future and give me a call to fill in once in a while should I be avaiable. Which I told him yes. I did ask him about the 4 days verse's the 5 and he wanted 5 days, so I think I made a wise choice.

Well thanks again for asking, now aren't you glad you did......lol!
