That may not sound so good, but as a Caucasian woman living in Asia, fitting into any size designed for the local market is a triumph. So, now I know that a Lands' End size 6 is the same as a Hong Kong size large!

Hey - congratulations! That's a real accomplishment. Buy yourself something really nice to celebrate and go dancing or something!

Aren't sizes a hoot? I wear a size 42, or M-L in Italian sizes... Size S in Sweden.

Congratulations on fitting in a size 6! It sure sounds good to me.

I guess I would be not happy to shop outside the US. I like wearing size smalls. If anything is bigger than that, I cut out the tag...LOL!

Keep up the good work.

I had the same experience in Italy in February - buying the largest size at the department store. But not all Italian women are slim. Where do the rest of them shop?

When we travel to Bangkok we find the

same thing - their Large is the equivalent

of American Small. Its a good thing

I can fit their clothes, but I still need

to lose because I am short too.

Don't you love the tailors in HK? We loved

the ones in Bangkok.

Hugs,

.

Well, yes, but I'm a shorts and T-shirts kind of person. I rarely dress up and I like just walking into a shop to buy four pairs of shorts and six T-shirts to last me the summer.

Thanks. I've lived in Asia for most of my adult life and I really don't notice different body types any longer. I'm not only a bit taller than the average here (but only 5'4"), my bone structure is so different. I'm bigger in the shoulders and the hips so that, however thin I got, I would not get into an Asian size small.

Congrats... I think! LOL! Over in the Portuguese Azores local clothes were done the European way as well. I seem to remember size 42 for something. My shoes were like an 11 or 12, even though I wore a 7-8 then as I do now.
