Hey Phyllis and everyone! Phyllis, I'm glad you weathered the storm, but sorry you had so much damage from the wind and hail. Hope your insurance will take care of all of the cost of repairs.

Wish I could go to church today, too, but ds and team are still in the state baseball tournament after winning yesterday, so I must run up to Dallas today. I tossed and turned last night & just now woke up! I'm going to down the coffee, head out for a big powerwalk & then come home to shower & head up there. Hope Cracker Barrel is still serving breakfast!

Ladies, I hope you all have a blessed Sunday.

Yesterday we had a FANTASTIC day trip to the beach, about 2-1/2 hours away. Why hadn't we done this before? The beach is at a county park, with bathroom facilities, life guards, umbrella/chair rentals, vending, outdoor showers & dressing rooms. $5 to park for however long you want to stay, family atmosphere. Man, it was packed yesterday! It was Allison's first time at an ocean beach (aside from a brief visit to one when she was 18 months during non-swim season), and she had an absolute blast. Water was in the mid 80s, good waves, plenty of sunshine. We got a little pink, but we didn't get sunburned. We brought sandwiches & a pasta salad for lunch, plenty of snacks (no chips, though), and I'm sure we burned off plenty of it. We've got a body board that The Cus won at some kind of raffle and we tried it out - loads of fun! I managed to catch "the right" wave and rode it about 40 feet, only stopping until my knees dragged the bottom at the shore. I zoomed right past Cus and Al where they were playing. Storm started blowing in around 4pm which was around the time we'd planned on leaving anyway. Dinner at home last night was pizza, store bought crust, added ingredients.

We'll be leaving for church in just a few minutes. We've got numerous leftovers in the fridge, so it'll probably be a round of "Mom's Diner" upon our return. I'd like to wash the car today - needs it after driving in and out of rainstorms yesterday. I'll want to get a workout in too, either body sculpt or cardio, plus abs. The Grand Lady has shown up today (glad she held off), and I can feel myself draggin' already. Other than that, just hanging out at home.

Good Morning to All,

Phyllis, really sorry to hear about the damage to your house and car.

Kat, good luck to DS and the team in the tournament!

Nothing much on the agenda in this neck of the woods. It's another glorious day here. The sun is shining and the sky is again bright blue. DH and I went to an early church at another parish this morning and then home for breakfast. I've got an errand or to run which should include taking my car to the car wash and to the furniture store-still debating over new living room furniture. Other than that lots of time to sit outside and read while laundry is whoosing and whirring inside!

Hope your Sunday is sensational!
