WOOHOO!!!It's Friday!Which actually means nothing in CL but I think it's just a mindset sorta thing.Or possibly I've completely lost my mind.So what's up with everyone today?Anyone else happy it's Friday?

How's your week been?Anyone try anything new this week for fitness. Or try out a new recipe?Or pick up a new book?Or have you stayed with the tried and true because it's what works for you?

Hope Friday wraps up your week with something fabulous!

Frisky. I like that! Makes me think the day's gonna spring a surprise on me. I like contemplating the possibilities!

I'm in the middle of making a grocery list - I realized that the meal plan that I'm still working on is overladen with pasta. Not that pasta is bad, but with leftovers, that could mean some kind of pasta dish for dinner or lunch daily for 8 days. That could turn anyone into a pasta-plegic. The Cus got P.O.'d this morning when he found there was no peanut butter in the pantry. I'd kept meaning to get some, but none of us wrote it down on the list, and I just forgot. Anyway, when I got up, he was struggling with the garbage can, apparently got miffed enough between no peanut butter and running late to flip the lid back too hard when he threw away the bread he'd already put jelly on. Wifey saved the day when I drug out the sandwich meat....

Allison and I are going to hit the pool early this morning (after our grocery shopping) so she can play with some of her friends who'll be there. I'll get Body Sculpt in sometime today, which will make my 3rd day of exercise this week - I know I'll get one more day in on Saturday or Sunday. Good news, watching my sweet and fat intake has done what I'd hoped it would over the last two weeks: my waist and tummy measurements are more in line with where I want them, and I managed to drop two pounds (those are the same 2-3 pounds that keep appearing whenever I fall off the healthy wagon!). The Cus and I have split a beer the last two nights for dinner, which is the only thing I've allowed to slide this week, but sharing is still better than a whole one. I'll keep this up through the next week, and then just be reasonable when we go to MIL's the following week.

Lori... re: your message on running yesterday: I wish *I* could run twice a week! LOL! I'm down to about one time because of the heat & humidity, along with my own inability to get up in the morning.

Kat... tell your son WTG!! Best of luck to his team as they gear up to play the North TX champs.

Sassy... LOL at your daughter - I can hear the conversation in my own mind! Hair dying, at least that's nothing long lasting (even if it weren't the washout kind). I remember using washout and/or spray in hair coloring in college. OTOH, the fact that she was talking fast is a pretty good indicator that she's having such a great time that she can't possibly tell you all about it in a short phone conversation.

Thanks, Booty. I wish I could take a day off from Steinmart, but I've already had to tell them I'm taking off about a week in October to fly to New Jersey. I don't know, we'll see . . . I may try to talk them into letting me take Sunday off. The child did seem happy to see me last Sunday when I went up there - he even let me kiss him! They will be coming home either Sunday or Monday, though, so I won't be without him much longer.

My ds doesn't play that well anymore with all of the injuries (sits on the bench most of the time), so what an honor for him to be chosen for All Stars. I didn't get to see many of the games & when I came to them, the parents would say, "oh, he's such a cute boy", so I figure what does that tell you about his playing ability! LOL! But anyway, it's a team effort and he has made a few good plays when he DID get to play.

That's great that your Jazzercise instructor's team has a great attitude! I hate to see bad attitudes in sports. Yes, it should be fun for the kids and not all about winning!

Thanks, Donna. Yes, it is a great way to keep these boys occupied during the summer, but it can hurt the pocketbook! This is premature, but if they go to World Series, it's in Georgia! What a drive for them!
