I didn't work out yesterday as planned. This morning has actually brought us slightly cooler temps (68) just like yesterday morning... so I do believe I'm going to go running in about 30 minutes or so. Just gotta let breakfast digest! I'll add abs before hitting the shower. My sweets and fatty snacks avoidance coupled with a better breakfast and pared down lunch is working: the waist and tummy measurements are more in line with where I want them, and I managed to drop two pounds (the same beloved 2-3 pounds that keep coming around!). Now just to maintain. That means I avoided having a donut this morning! I plan to keep this up until we go to MIL's at the end of the week, but still I'll moderate my eating. It's so easy to go overboard at her place - I think the lady's love language is FOOD!
Other than that, just a few small things I want to do today around the house. Might clean the bathrooms because they need it, seal a few loose edges on the wallpaper border in Allison's bathroom, fix an old stuffed animal, maybe work on the dress liner. Dinner today will be grilled burgers (lean beef). And I'll indulge in some Healthy Choice ice cream - Kroger had it on sale for half-price! If the weather holds up, maybe a swim at the pool is in order.
Y'all have a "goo" one!

My greatest fear is
that there is no PMS and this is my personality!

Dinner sounds good.At Costco you can get a package of very lean beef that I think is really good. Plus the price is great, $1.99 per pound. You have to buy a big pack but I just come home, divide it and feeeze it.
Hope your run is a good one!

Today I have to work 8 hours so I better get movin'! Headed out for a powerwalk this a.m. & then some Firm Body Sculpt.
DS comes home by Monday - can't wait. I'm nervous for them today - the team that won the North TX zone is also an E. TX team & they're very good. I think it says alot for E. TX athletics to beat all of those Dallas, Houston and other larger city teams. DS' team has to win 2 out of 3 & only play 1 game today.
Have a great weekend, everyone!
Mary here in the glorious Wine Country of Northern California.
It is a beautiful day here. I'd almost say sultry, but there's a light breeze that's just enough to take the edge off the humidity. Windows open and fans twirling make the house feel very comfortable.
I'm so pleased with myself. I followed through on my plan to get up at the crack of the birdies. I was out the door by 7 am, and did a really brisk 4.3-mile walk in just over 50 min! I never broke stride on the hill, but I'm sure if I had company on my walk, talking would have been a challenge. It was so peaceful; only about 6 cars and 1 truck drove by. I said hello to 7 other walkers, 2 of whom ignored me (maybe they were sleepwalking), and patted a very friendly beagle that looked like Otto (I thought of you, Susan). I didn't get to my weights when I got home, but I grabbed a glass of water and headed back outside and pulled up a bunch of weeds, shamrocks, and clover that were invading the beds out front. It's not perfect, but much cleaner looking. I showered, had breakfast, and tuned into QVC and didn't buy anything.
DH is down in the dungeon doing his workout now; when he's finished with all his business, we'll be heading to Cape Cod for the day. It'll be gorgeous down there by the water. We'll be there until early evening, then head home before the Saturday night crazies get out on the highways.
Eating today will be ok, as we'll be in the car for a good part of it. The only danger zone is the homemade ice cream place in Chatham that sits in the middle of Main Street. They make their own hot fudge and they also whip real cream fresh as they run out of it, so this is a tough place to pass up. Then again, how often do I indulge in a hot fudge sundae these days, huh? Dinner will be at our favorite spot down there, and if I have the ice cream, I'll pass on the nachos grande appetizer.
Tomorrow - housework, inside and out. Need to coax DH into edging the beds and trimming the grass back that I didn't pull out. Maybe we'll head to Home Depot for some bags of mulch and put it in place. I did get in touch with the landscaper who had cut back all the overgrowth in the backyard a couple of years back. It has returned with a vengeance, and brought an added gift - poison ivy growing too close to the house - so I asked him to do the same thing, and to put in some loam and seed to try to get a good grass cover going. I know it's not the optimal time of year to try to start new grass, but it looks like it's going to rain most days for the next week and we don't have a community water ban on this year, so we'll be able to take some time watering it after work for a couple of weeks. We can fill in seed as needed later, as I'm sure the birds are going to have a feast on some of it.
I can't wait to get on the road. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
