Okay, dumb question about sports bras

I've got two different sports "tops" that I wear which are technically sports bras. There's nothing bra-like about them except that they keep the girls from bouncin' around. I bought them in the activewear department of whatever stores I bought them in. Now... I've got another sports bra that looks more like a bra. Good straps and underbust support, cup material maybe a little bit thinner (not much), mesh in the back, a few more noticeable seams, and a visible screen-printed logo on one of the panels. I bought this bra in the lingerie department of wherever I bought it. Is that a type of bra I can wear as a workout top... or is that the kind that stays underneath t-shirts?

I'm not sure if it'd be enough support for running, but certainly for my weight work. I wouldn't mind having another back up. It's just as difficult to get off when I'm all sweaty from a workout as one of my sports tops!

If the bra really looks like a real bra then I wouldn't wear it alone. That type of sports bra is meant to be worn under clothing. I'd have to see it to tell you for sure. Bra tops that come in colors and don't look like regular bras are meant to be worn alone, but I don't really consider those a "bra".

Can't be a dumb question because I don't have an answer for it. I think you should do what you are comfortable with because I have seen those sports bras worn alone like a bathing suit top would be. You do your weight work at home, right? So, you could wear for that with no problem.

If you're just wearing it at home I'd say do whatever you're comfortable with.Sport bras really are something to get out of once you get sweaty , aren't they. It's almost like another workout!
