Monday Updates!

So, did Monday start off on the right foot? Did you get a boost or smile today from an unexpected source? How'd the workouts and eating go? Anybody choose to change ONE thing today for the rest of the week (whether or not it's in health or fitness)?

Well, didn't get the bathrooms completely clean, but got the toilets and sinks looking better. Finished up the laundry that was in the dryer. My friend Angie came over, and since her DH had the day off, her younger son stayed home with him. That meant that Allison and her best buddy Andrew had all the time in the world to play together. Angie's family will be joining a different church soon (closer to where they lived since they moved to a town in the next county), and the kids are going to miss each other - she and I have committed to getting together for not just for the kids, but because we value each other's friendship as well. Anyway, they stayed for lunch after pool time, and left mid-afternoon. I started dinner, herb chicken in the slow cooker, and then did a workout, the full Body Sculpt (lower and upper body) with about 9-10 minutes of abs.

So Monday started off right well for me. Having our friends over gave me a boost, and it was mutual. Exercise and eating were good today, still eating healthier breakfasts, more fruit, and even "dessert" tonight was a cut up peach, blueberries and lite whipped cream. Big thing I've changed recently, non-health related, is that I'm ironing the day after laundry - it keeps the ironing (my most dreaded chore) from getting out of control!

Hi ya'al!

I had a good Monday. I started to post a responce to this posting earlier but decided I had better go for a bicycle ride first. I actually beat my previous time by 2 minutes. I know that's not much but it's an accomplishment.

Work went fine for a Monday. You are a good positive motivator. I make it a presonal challenge to try to make at least one person smile daily. Just for the record you have made me smile several times since I started visiting this site.

Hope everyone has a "Terrific Tuesday"

Be safe, be happy, & enjoy life.

Linda, your Monday sounds nice.I haven't had much chance to get together with friends lately and I miss that.

I had a good Monday. Hit my treadmill early and later in the day did some LB work.Met my parents for lunch and we had a good time.Did some quick browsing but no shopping.Headed home to get some work done and just relax.

Wow, ya'll had a great day, from the postings here. I did get my devotional done last night, but I have to say to you, Donna - how do you work out after a long day at the office? I can do it after working my 8 hour day, but not after an 11 or 12 hr. day! The couch always calls after that!

My smiles came from here at FOF, as is usually the case. I had a nice day at work and two people gave me food yesterday & it was all food on my plan! Can't beat that!
