~~Taking on Tuesday~~

Good morning everyone! How's everyone doing? Are you ready for another day? What kind of plans do you have for today?Any new ideas for fitness, health or fun?

The other day I was in CL and one chicken was making alot of noise.I looked over and it looked like was stuck in a feed pan.But when I got closer I could tell it wasn't stuck ,it could get out at any time.It had just convinced it self it was stuck and decided to make alot of noise rather than just try to get out.Hmm, made me think about all the times I've talked about what I was going to do rather than just doing it.

Suppose to get warm around here again. So many storms this summer, hope everyone is safe.Deb, keeping Katie in my thoughts. What a scary thing to happen.Rhonda, hope you're closer to getting back online.Shar, missing you.

Take care and enjoy your day!

Miss P

You have definitely missed your calling, Patty-cakes! You are such a natural born leader...although I suppose you're leading your "flock" in your own way ;)

Had planned on working out this morning early before VBS, but looks like I'm outta time. Will do my devotional time and then hit the shower. I will make my bed and leave my workout clothes on top...see if the guilt trip convinces me to workout later. Wish me luck :)

No noise-making here...I've been getting in awesome workouts.

Later.

You could write a book of anecdotes, Patty, "What I've Learned about Life - from Chickens". That's pretty interesting that it just sat their and squawked. I've known fellow classmates, coworkers and parents like that....

I got up early enough for a run, and it's actually a pleasant 65-degrees, but I'd told myself yesterday that today would be a rest day. After a Pilate's type workout Sunday, and Body Sculpt last night, I didn't want to push it with something strenuous. Good thing, because my legs are a bit sore. I might do some stretching (the third part of the Pilate's tape that I didn't do Sunday).

Today, Al's swim lesson, and some errands to pay off the new A/C for our bonus room and pick up some groceries. The rest of the house cleaning, a bit o' laundry, a bit o' ironing, maybe fix that old stuffed animal (older than I am), and begin the liner for my dress. At least those are the things on my list. Trusting God to prioritize it!

Hi, Princess and everyone! Good analogy with the chicken (for other folks, not us, LOL), Patty, but I'm sure you're just like the Nike ad - you just do it!

Today, my just do it day is cardio - powerwalking, Firm Body Sculpt, Firm Abs and Pilates. Yep, a warrior day because I'm off tonite!!! LOL!

DS and his dad went to a team meeting last night - already planning the GA trip. I bet they have practice tonight. I'll just dump him off & proceed to my warrior workout plans. Also, have some cleaning to do.

Rhonda, I hope the computer is fixed soon, too! Shar, where are you? Hope everyone is ok in your family. I will definitely keep little Katie in my prayers.

Have a great one, all!

Good Morning,

I'm taking on Tuesday all right and I sort of feel like the squawking chicken this morning. But time to quit squawking and get moving! Nothing at all on the agenda today except work and then after dinner to the library to meet up with my student. Not sure what I'll feel like at 9PM so I'm going to say no workout for today but if I'm up for it then it will be a bonus for the day.

Off to finish the morning chores before the mad dash to work!

Take on Tuesday and give it all you got!

Thanks all for your thoughts and prayers. Its means so much. Katie had a good night, she slept from 11 to 9. She said she is sore now, I just got her to eat some cheerios, and some ginger ale. She just took her heart medicine and the antibiotic. She has an 11:30 appointment to see our pediatrican. I was going to have her shower so I could clean the wounds but I will just wait until we see the doctor this morning. The hospital did a good job I am sure when they cleaned them yesterday afternoon. No need to get her all upset right away in the morning. She does need a hair wash, so she said she would lean slightly over the sink for me. The dog that bit her was friendly on Sunday when Katie met her. She is kept in the back yard and is chained up. Katie went into her area, which was Katie's mistake. I guess since Katie had met her the day before and its owner Michael had gone up and seen her just earlier Katie thought it was safe. They said the dog has never done anything of this sort before and the owners are extremly upset. The hospital reported this to the proper authorities already and the hospital told me that there would be a follow up visit. My inlaws want us to take pictures and save her pants (which are covered in blood), just in case. But Bill and I are not like that. The owners are such sweet people and they did everything for Katie to help her immediatly. My sons are really pissed and they want the dog put down, but who am I to say. My head is spinning and I do not know what to do or think. Just right now I need to consintrate on Katie and that is it.

You seem to take on every day Susan with doing your first full time job before going to work!! Amazing you even find the time or energy to tutor also! What a good woman you are! Always taking care of others and going the extra mile. (Hmmm...and then you wonder why you are tired and might not be able to fit in a workout after 9 pm??? ) I remember when I was involved with all kinds of things when the kids were young and people kept asking me to do things and I kept saying yes. There was a saying...if wanted to get something done, ask a busy person. It always gets done then!

Hope you get some time for you today.

So glad Katie is doing so well. Kids are amazing how quickly they heal. Soreness is to be expected I am sure.

Tough situation about the dog. But what kind of life does that dog have being chained up all the time. I don't think I could
